Its BBB profile records incorporation on 2 May 2018, accreditation since 1 April 2019 and an A+ rating, with Matthew Maes Timcho and Michael W Johnson named as owners. The company describes itself as veteran and woman owned and holds GAF Master Elite status, GAF's top residential contractor tier.
The work is weighted toward storm restoration. The company handles hail and wind damage claims, full roof replacement, repair, siding, seamless gutters and gutter guards, windows, fencing, painting, commercial roofing and solar roof systems, and it publishes a DFW service area that includes Plano, Allen, Anna, Arlington, Carrollton, Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Irving, Keller, Lewisville, Little Elm, Mansfield, McKinney, Richardson, Rockwall, Rowlett and Wylie.

The address carried on the Plano register, 1452 Hughes Rd #200 in Grapevine, is a Regus serviced office suite in the Vineyard Centre II building and does not appear on the company's own contact page. The company's own published office is 5339 Alpha Rd Ste 101 in Dallas.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration
Registered — Plano Check the register ↗Registered general contractor, City of Plano. Roofing companies register in Plano's general contractor category, which also covers concrete, demolition, fence, foundation, pool and sign work; it is a $100 annual registration renewed yearly, and the city's published requirements do not list proof of insurance or a bond. This company appears on the city's own list of registered contractors. The city publishes no certificate number or expiry date for this programme, so ask to see the registration itself before work starts.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Frequently asked
Is TC Roofing & Restorations still operating after the Peachtree acquisition?
The October 2025 announcement said the company would continue to operate in the Dallas Fort Worth region supported by Peachtree Roofing & Exteriors, and that existing projects and warranties were unaffected. Confirm directly with the company which legal entity your contract and warranty are written against.
Where is the company's actual office?
Its own website and its BBB profile both give 5339 Alpha Rd Ste 101, Dallas, TX 75240. The 1452 Hughes Rd #200 address in Grapevine that appears on the Plano contractor register is a Regus serviced office suite in Vineyard Centre II and is not listed on the company's own contact page.
What is GAF Master Elite and is it worth anything?
Master Elite is GAF's highest residential contractor tier and requires the contractor to carry insurance, maintain a track record and stay in good standing with the manufacturer. Its practical value is access to GAF's stronger enhanced system warranties, which only Master Elite contractors can register.
Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. There is no Texas state roofing license and no state agency that regulates roofers. Trust in Texas rests on verified insurance, voluntary credentials such as RCAT status or a manufacturer certification, and city registration where the city requires it.
Is this company in the RCAT directory?
No RCAT record was found for it when the RCAT member search was run. RCAT membership is voluntary and its absence is not a mark against a contractor. Note that RCAT membership and RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential are two different things and should never be treated as equivalent.
What are Class 4 impact resistant shingles and should I get them in DFW?
Class 4 is the top impact rating under UL 2218, tested by dropping a two inch steel ball on the shingle. In a hail exposed market like North Texas they are the standard upgrade discussion, and many Texas carriers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your own insurer what credit it gives before you pay the upgrade.
How does a hail insurance claim usually work here?
You file with your carrier, the carrier sends an adjuster, and the adjuster writes a scope and estimate. A contractor may meet the adjuster on the roof to point out damage and to discuss the scope. Your deductible is yours to pay, and Texas law makes it an offence for a contractor to pay, waive or rebate it for you.
Can my roofer also act as my insurance adjuster?
No. Texas Insurance Code Chapter 4102 prohibits a roofing contractor from acting as a public insurance adjuster on a property the contractor is contracted or seeking to repair. A contractor may document damage and discuss the scope with your adjuster, but it may not adjust the claim on your behalf.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Plano?
Yes. Texas has no statewide building code administration, so permitting is city by city, and Plano requires a permit and inspection for roof replacement pulled by a contractor registered with the city. Ask in writing who is pulling the permit before work begins.
What warranty should I expect?
There are two. The manufacturer's warranty covers the shingles and, on an enhanced GAF system registered by a Master Elite contractor, can cover workmanship too. The contractor's own labor warranty is separate and much shorter. Get both in writing with their lengths, what voids them, and whether they transfer if you sell.
