About

Venture Roofing & Construction is a locally owned roofing and construction contractor working from 5801 Canyon Drive in south Amarillo, in Randall County. The address and the 806-910-8104 phone number match across the company's own contact page, its BBB profile and its Yelp listing, which is how the company was confirmed for this record. No website was on file when this listing was built; ventureroofco.com was found and confirmed, and BBB lists the same domain. BBB shows the business as started in January 2023, incorporated in January 2024, and accredited since May 2025 with an A+ rating, naming Zane Pulley as co-owner alongside Anthony Zanghi. Both the company's own contact page and BBB list around the clock phone availability. GAF's own residential contractor directory for Amarillo lists Venture Roofing & Construction at the same 806 number with GAF Certified status, which is the entry level of GAF's contractor program and carries authorization for the GAF System Plus limited warranty. The service list covers residential and commercial roofing, roof repairs, roof replacement, inspections, storm damage and insurance claim work, plus new construction, pole barns and steel shops. That last group is worth noting because it is unusual for a roofing-only contractor and it fits the Panhandle, where agricultural and shop buildings are common. Amarillo sits in the Texas Panhandle and takes severe hail, sustained high wind and sharp temperature swings, all of which shorten roof life and drive claim volume. The company's web presence is genuinely small, so several fields on this listing are deliberately blank.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Venture Roofing did an outstanding job on my roof from start to finish. The quality of the work was top-tier — clean, fast, and done right the first time. The crew was professional, respectful of my property, and made sure everything was spotless when they wrapped up. I especially want to shout out my salesman, Kenny. He was amazing throughout the whole process. He explained everything clearly, answered every question, and made the whole experience stress-free. Kenny went above and beyond to make sure I understood my options and felt confident in the work being done. You can tell he truly cares about his customers.

Zane and his team were incredibly helpful and flexible when it came time to replace my roof. He provided me with assistance and support when submitting my insurance claim, and was able to ensure my roof would be completed before my closing date. I had quite a few tight deadlines and quite a battle with my insurance, and at the end of the day I was never concerned Zane and his team wouldn’t get the job done. In addition to being super helpful, the roof came out looking great and was done with complete and professional attention, and in a single day. I highly recommend this company!

I can’t say enough good things about Anthony Zanghi and Venture Roofing. From start to finish, they were incredibly patient and professional—especially while dealing with a difficult insurance process. Our initial claim was mishandled by the first adjuster, which caused delays and frustration, but Anthony stayed engaged the entire time and helped guide us through to a successful outcome. Anthony and Zane both pay close attention to detail and truly stand out as excellent project managers. Communication was clear, timelines were handled well, and the quality of work shows their commitment to doing things the right way. If you’re looking for a roofing company that will advocate for you, stay patient through challenges, and deliver high-quality results, I highly recommend Venture Roofing.

I give venture roofing 5 stars. They called me to let me know they were on the way. Few minutes later I heard them getting after it. Two hours later they were putting on the shingles when they got done they cleaned everything up NO NAILS where left to be found. The best part I was saleing my house didn’t have the money to pay them so they let me pay at closing time. I recommend venture roofing to everyone in need of a quality job and trustworthy business. Am a very happy customer great job men ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frequently asked

Is Venture Roofing & Construction licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer holds one. The checks that do exist are private or local: RCAT status, general liability and workers compensation insurance, BBB accreditation, manufacturer certification, and city or county registration where required. This company is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating and is carried in this directory as an RCAT Member. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before work starts.
What does RCAT Member mean, and is it the same as being RCAT licensed?
No, they are two different things. RCAT, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, has ordinary members who pay dues and agree to the association's code of ethics, and it separately awards a Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) that is earned through testing and documented experience. This listing records Venture Roofing & Construction as an RCAT Member. Neither status is a government licence.
Where does Venture Roofing & Construction work?
The company is based at 5801 Canyon Drive in south Amarillo, in Randall County, and describes itself as serving Canyon and the wider Texas Panhandle. Amarillo itself straddles Potter and Randall counties, so confirm which jurisdiction your address falls in when permits come up.
What does Panhandle weather do to a roof in Amarillo?
The Texas Panhandle gets a rough combination: severe hail during the spring and summer storm season, sustained high wind across open terrain, and large daily and seasonal temperature swings that expand and contract roofing materials. Wind driven hail is the usual claim trigger, but wind lifted or creased shingles and fastener fatigue are just as common. An annual inspection and a look after every major storm is reasonable maintenance here.
What does GAF Certified mean, and how was it confirmed here?
GAF Certified is the entry tier of GAF's contractor program. Certified contractors carry GAF training and can offer the GAF System Plus limited warranty on qualifying roof systems. It sits below GAF's Master Elite tier. This listing confirmed the status on GAF's own Amarillo residential contractor directory, where the company appears with the matching 806-910-8104 phone number, rather than relying on the certification badge shown on the company's own site.
Are impact resistant (Class 4) shingles worth it in Amarillo?
Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steel ball impact test, and it is the class most worth discussing in a hail heavy market like the Panhandle. Many Texas insurers offer a premium credit for a Class 4 roof, but the discount varies by carrier and is never automatic. Confirm both the specific product and the discount with your own insurer before you sign, and ask the roofer to put the product name and rating in the contract.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Amarillo?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set locally. A job inside Amarillo city limits goes through the City of Amarillo building department, while a job on an unincorporated address follows Randall or Potter County rules. Ask the contractor in writing who pulls any permit and who schedules any inspection, and do not assume a permit was pulled because work started.
Does this company do more than roofing?
Yes. Alongside residential and commercial roofing it lists new construction, pole barns, steel shops and custom shop, garage and outdoor structure builds. Its BBB categories include post frame building, steel fabrication and steel erection. If your project is a shop or barn rather than a house roof, that broader scope is the relevant part.
How does a hail claim work after a Panhandle storm?
You file with your own insurer, the carrier assigns an adjuster, and the roofer typically meets the adjuster on site to walk the roof and document damage. The company lists storm damage and insurance claim assistance among its services. Read anything you are asked to sign before the adjuster's report exists, be careful with documents that assign your claim benefits to a contractor, and keep the claim negotiation between you and your carrier.
How can I check this company myself before hiring?
Look up its BBB profile in Amarillo, its GAF contractor directory entry, its Yelp listing and its Facebook page, and compare all four against the ventureroofco.com site. Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly by the insurance agent, and ask for recent local job addresses you can drive past. The company's online footprint is small, so direct references matter more than review volume here.
