About

SWAT Roofing & Contracting is a roofing and exterior contractor based on Blue Mound Road West in Haslet, in northern Tarrant County, working across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The company brands itself as the "Severe Weather Assessment Team", and its work is built around storm response: inspections after hail and wind events, insurance claim documentation, repairs and full replacements. Its BBB profile records the business as starting in 2006 and shows BBB accreditation since 2011 with an A+ rating. Beyond roofing, the company lists gutter repair, garage door replacement, window screen repair and fence repair and staining, so a single storm claim can cover several parts of a property envelope. Roof systems it says it installs include asphalt shingles (standard and designer profiles), metal, stone coated steel, clay and concrete tile, modified bitumen and flat systems. The company advertises round the clock availability, which is common among North Texas storm restoration firms. Texas has no state roofing licence, so a homeowner's checks here are the company's certificate of insurance, its RCAT record and any city permit requirements. The RCAT data we hold lists this company under the Licensed Roofing Contractor credential rather than plain membership. Manufacturer and platform badges the company advertises (Atlas Pro Diamond, NTRCA, Angi, HomeAdvisor, Nextdoor) are reported here as stated by the company, because we could not open the manufacturer's or association's own directory to confirm them.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0719 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We live in Haslet and used SWAT Roofing. We are very pleased with their service from start to finish. Brenner and Travis both did a great job.

After a bad storm rolled through, we weren’t sure what to do about the damage to our roof. SWAT Roofing stepped in and made the whole process way easier than we expected. From day one, they made us feel like everything was under control and that we were in good hands. Will Ogle and Travis were awesome. They helped us handle all the insurance stuff, which honestly would have been a nightmare without them. They were super responsive, easy to talk to, and kept us updated every step of the way. When it came time for the roof replacement, everything got done exactly how they said it would. No surprises, no delays, just solid work from a team that knows what they’re doing. Really glad we went with SWAT Roofing. If you need help after a storm or just need a new roof, definitely give them a call. Will and Travis will take care of you.

We used SWAT roofing and we are very pleased. From the minute they made contact with us after a storm, all the way through till the end of the job Blake was very professional and so were all the roofing crew. We are very pleased with the look and quality of our roof along with ALL and I mean ALL the help Blake gave us with the insurance side of it too. We basically did so very little and he handled it all at our home in Weatherford

Could not be happier with our new roof and gutters. Samuel was excellent to work with. The team was very professional and very fast. One day install on the roof on a 3000 sq. ft. house. Gutter install and interior water damage repairs the next day. Interior repairs were perfectly paint matched and the gentleman that performed them was so polite. Extremely happy with the entire crew. Would highly recommend this company for roofing, gutters and general contracting. Absolutely outstanding work!

We are so happy with our experience using SWAT Roofing to replace our roof! Not only was the final product impressive, the communication throughout the process was incredible as well. Brenner was always just a phone call or text away and met onsite with claims adjusters and inspectors multiple times. We will definitely be recommending SWAT Roofing to our family and friends!

Frequently asked

Where is SWAT Roofing & Contracting based?
On Blue Mound Road West in Haslet, in northern Tarrant County, serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Note that the company's own site and its RCAT record give 834 Blue Mound Rd W Ste 400, while its BBB profile and Angi listing give 850 Blue Mound Rd W Ste 301. Both are the same short stretch of road, but confirm the current suite before visiting.
Does Texas licence roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence, so nobody roofing in Haslet is "state licensed". What you can actually check is the company's certificate of general liability and workers compensation insurance, its record with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, and whether your city requires contractor registration or a permit for the job.
What is this company's RCAT status?
The RCAT data we hold lists SWAT Roofing & Contracting under the Licensed Roofing Contractor credential. That credential is earned separately from plain RCAT membership, which only reflects paid dues. The two are not equivalent, so it is worth asking a contractor which one they hold.
What does SWAT stand for?
The company brands itself as the "Severe Weather Assessment Team". That is the company's own expansion of the name, not an official designation, and it carries no regulatory meaning.
How long has the company been operating?
Its BBB profile records the business as started in 2006 and the entity incorporated in 2011, and RCAT lists an established date of 2006. The company's own About page says "family owned since 2001", so its own marketing and the registry records do not agree. Ask directly if the exact figure matters to you.
What roofing work does it do?
Roof replacement, repair and leak detection, storm and hail damage repair, new roof construction, preventative maintenance and inspections. It also lists gutter repair, garage door replacement, window screen repair and fence repair and staining.
Which roofing materials does it install?
Its site lists asphalt shingles including designer profiles, metal, stone coated steel, clay and concrete tile, modified bitumen and flat roofing. Ask which systems the crew installs most often in your neighbourhood, and ask to see recent local work in that material.
Are impact resistant shingles worth it in Tarrant County?
North Texas sits in the part of the state that takes the most damaging hail, and Haslet, Fort Worth and the wider metroplex are squarely in it. Class 4 impact rated shingles cost more up front, but many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your carrier what discount applies before you choose a shingle, because the answer varies by insurer.
Will I need a permit for a roof replacement?
Probably, but Texas has no statewide building code adopted uniformly, so permitting and inspection rules are set city by city. Haslet, Fort Worth and each surrounding municipality run their own process. Confirm in writing which party pulls the permit and who schedules the final inspection.
What should I ask before signing a storm damage contract?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly by the insurer, a written scope with shingle brand, line and colour, the manufacturer warranty and the separate workmanship warranty in writing, and the total price rather than "whatever insurance pays". Read any clause that assigns your claim rights or makes the contract binding on carrier approval, and never pay in full before the work is finished.
