About
Stallion Roofing & Solar Solutions is a family owned roofing and solar contractor based at 13360 Telge Road, Suite 601 in Cypress, Harris County, with a second Houston address at 10795 Hammerly Blvd. The domain stallionsolutionspro.com is the company's own: it is the site listed on the RCAT record for this company, it carries the same (713) 300-9936 phone number, and Owens Corning's contractor directory lists the same address, phone and website. Brian Pfeiffenberger is named as owner. The current public brand is Stallion Roofing & Solar Solutions, and the shorter Stallion Solutions form appears on its social profiles.
The work is mainly residential reroofing and repair across the Houston metro, including townhomes, condominiums and apartment buildings, plus gutters, roof and gutter inspections and estimates, and help documenting storm damage insurance claims. Solar is a genuine second line rather than a slogan, covering panel installation as well as repair and replacement, including removal and refit work around a reroof.
On credentials, Owens Corning's own directory lists the company as a Preferred Contractor and adds a Solar PROtect Certified designation, so both are verified at the manufacturer rather than taken on trust. The company additionally states Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association membership and a Master Shingle Applicator and Shingle Quality Specialist on staff. Cypress is inland Harris County, so the practical roof issues are heat, humidity, heavy rainfall, hail and inland wind from decaying tropical systems.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

InsuranceNot verified by us (we hold no certificate for this company — ask them for a current COI before signing)
City/county registration
No city programme County permits ↗Harris County Office of the County Engineer - Permits Division handles permits here, not a city building department.
Status Current in the RCAT directory (no published licence number for this record)
RCAT member ID866 (member since 2018)
Licence boardRCAT, Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (Texas issues no state roofing licence; RCAT runs the licensing programme)
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Stallion Roofing had put a new roof on my house approximately ten years ago. After the hail storm on May 1, 2026, I had someone inspect the roof for damage. I was told there was no need for a new roof. Then I received a call from Stallion Roofing letting me know that the roof was still under warranty and asking if they could send someone out to check for damage. Brian Hanna arrived. He checked out the roof with the aid of a drone. Brian said that although there was no need for a new roof, there were a few places revealed by the drone that needed repair. I appreciated Brian’s honesty; I appreciated his patience and willingness to explain the details of the footage from the drone; I appreciated his easy going manner and professionalism. Although I was a little amused by his obvious enthusiasm for roofs, I felt reassured that this roof was getting what the doctor ordered! We could do with more Brians in this world! Btw the roof is absolutely fabulous Brian!!

Brian came to my house, educated me on the basics to maintain my roof, as well as gave me options for future projects. He made some adjustments to keep my roof healthy and then took photos so I’m prepared to file a claim in case there is ever storm damage. Not to mention, my kids loved to he drone. Brian is awesome and I totally recommend Stallion Roofing.

Frequently asked
Is Stallion Roofing & Solar Solutions licensed by the State of Texas for roofing?
It cannot be, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence to anyone. What you can check is current general liability and workers compensation insurance, any Harris County or municipal registration that applies, and voluntary credentials. Stallion is recorded as an RCAT Member.
What does RCAT Member mean, and is it the same as RCAT Licensed?
No, and the difference matters. An RCAT Member pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately by an individual through RCAT's own requirements. Stallion is listed as a Member, which is an association tie, not a licence.
Does the company need an electrical licence to install solar panels?
Solar panel work involves electrical wiring, and in Texas electrical work is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. A Texas Electrical Contractor Licence, or TECL, is an electrical credential. It is not a roofing credential and says nothing about roofing competence. No TECL number is published on the company's website, so if solar is part of your project, ask who holds the electrical licence for the wiring and get the number, then check it on the TDLR licence search.
Which of the company's credentials can I verify myself?
Owens Corning's own contractor directory lists Stallion Roofing and Solar Solutions in Cypress as a Preferred Contractor and shows a Solar PROtect Certified designation on the same profile. That is checkable on owenscorning.com. The Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association membership and the Master Shingle Applicator and Shingle Quality Specialist claims are stated by the company and were not independently confirmed.
What happens to existing solar panels when the roof underneath is replaced?
The panels have to be removed, the array's mounts and flashings dealt with properly, and the panels reinstalled and reconnected afterwards. That is a real cost line and a real risk point, because badly re flashed mounts are a classic source of later leaks. A contractor that does both trades can price the whole job together. Ask for the detach and reset work to be priced explicitly on the estimate rather than absorbed into a lump sum.
Does hail affect roofs in the Houston area?
Yes. Hail is most severe in North and Central Texas, but Harris County still takes damaging hail with spring storms. Class 4 impact resistant shingles, tested to UL 2218, hold up better against hail bruising, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your carrier what discount your policy allows before committing to a shingle.
What does Houston heat and humidity do to a shingle roof?
Sustained high roof deck temperatures age asphalt shingles faster, and a poorly ventilated attic makes it worse by trapping heat and moisture against the underside of the deck. Humidity also encourages algae streaking on north facing slopes. Balanced intake and exhaust ventilation, plus algae resistant shingles, are worth discussing at the quoting stage rather than after.
Do I need a permit to reroof a house in Cypress or unincorporated Harris County?
Texas has no statewide residential code enforcement, so it depends on where the property sits. Much of Cypress is in unincorporated Harris County, where the rules differ from those inside an incorporated city, and a homeowners association may impose its own approval process on top. Ask the contractor in writing who handles permitting and HOA approval, and confirm it yourself.
Will a solar installation need HOA approval?
Often it needs at least a submission. Texas law limits how far a property owners association can restrict solar devices, but associations can still require prior approval and can regulate placement in defined ways. Build the HOA submission into the project timeline, and ask the contractor whether they prepare the documentation or leave it to you.
What should I ask before signing with any Houston area roofer?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly by the insurer or agent, ask whether the crew is in house or subcontracted, ask what the price does if wet or rotten decking is uncovered, get the manufacturer warranty and the workmanship warranty as separate written documents, and be cautious about any agreement that ties you in before you have seen a full written scope. Avoid large upfront deposits before materials arrive.
