About

Silvano Real is a genuine roofing contractor despite the name giving nothing away. It trades publicly as SR Contractors & Building Consultants at silvanoreal.com, uses the address 779 County Road 270 Unit 101 in Leander, Williamson County, and emails from a silvanoroofs.com address. BBB carries it as Silvano Real Contractors under the Roofing Contractors, Commercial Roofing and General Contractor categories, records the business as starting on 23 March 2021, and lists it as BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since November 2025. Roofing is where the company started and it remains a full service line, not a token one. The site runs dedicated roofing pages covering roof repair, full replacement, free inspections and insurance claim guidance, and a detailed materials page naming specific systems: IKO Cambridge, Dynasty and Nordic asphalt shingles, R-Panel and standing seam metal, and Decra and Tilcor stone coated steel. The Nordic and stone coated options are Class 4 impact rated, which is the relevant tier for Central Texas hail. The company appears in IKO's own contractor finder as an IKO RoofPro contractor. The honest caveat is that the business is no longer roofing only. Under the SR Contractors banner it now also sells general contracting, kitchen and bathroom remodelling, outdoor living spaces such as patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens and fire pits, and fencing and gutters. Its own About page describes a company that started as a roofing company and has since broadened into full service contracting. Coverage is Leander, Austin and the surrounding Central Texas area, inland hail country rather than a coastal windstorm zone.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Loved SR Contractors. Zachary Ferguson was the one that approached us to do a free inspection from a storm that came through 6 months ago. He helped me do a claim with my insurance. He wasn’t pushy like a lot of sales people are. Very, very nice guy. Kept us very informed with all the process of getting us a new upgraded roof & better gutters. Even did the job on a Saturday since I work nights. During the project, the lead guy Javier took several pictures that he was uploading to the insurance. And after the project was done & they did a sweep with the magnet for nails. I had them do one extra swipe in my dogs yard. So when Zachary came back over he found very few nails. The crew did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who would like to get an inspection on the roof.

I had a great experience working with Silvano Real Contractors, and I want to specifically recognize Andreas Herrera (and Javier as well). From day one, Andreas was consistent, professional, and patient. I was very upfront with him that I might not move forward with his company, and at one point I had actually decided to go in a different direction. Despite that, he stayed engaged without pressure, visited the property with the surveyor, and continued to be helpful throughout the process. When I later visited Georgetown, Andreas asked for the opportunity to meet in person and brought Javier along. That meeting — their preparation, transparency, and professionalism — ultimately changed my decision. It was clear they genuinely cared about doing the job right, not just closing a deal. I managed this entire project remotely, and this home is larger and included solar panels, insurance coordination, and lender involvement. Despite the added complexity, I trusted Andreas to manage everything end-to-end, and that trust was well placed. Communication was clear throughout, the roof installation was clean and well executed, and all documentation — including the Class 4 IRR certification — was handled properly. The project stayed aligned and organized from start to finish. I truly appreciate the persistence, integrity, and follow-through Andreas demonstrated, along with the support from Javier and the Silvano Real team. Based on this experience, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I went through several contractors, but none of them were able to complete the paperwork quickly and accurately for my mortgage company. There were multiple steps involved and it became so frustrating that I actually gave up after reaching out to about four different contractors. As a single mom owning my first home, I honestly had no idea who to trust to help me finish the process until I met Jason and his crew. Jason stood out immediately. He was fast, organized, and completely on top of everything from start to finish. He walked me through every step of the process and made sure nothing was missed. Anytime I had doubts, he reassured me with confidence and made it clear I was in good hands and he absolutely delivered on that. The crew was professional, on time, and worked efficiently. They got the job done quickly without cutting corners, and once everything was finished, someone even came out to inspect the final product, which really showed their commitment to quality. This was hands down the best experience I could have asked for. If you’re looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and who truly takes care of you throughout the entire process, Jason and his team are the ones to call. Highly, highly recommend!

Devin was great from the moment he knocked on my door until the job was finished. He walked me through different options and explained the process. He was there through the quoting, starting the job, and was there to do the walk-through at the end. You can tell the company makes it a priority to take care of their clients.

The company itself is very reputable and professional. They worked with me and helped me get the roof I wanted. Devin Rhodes worked with me from start to finish and was always available to answer any questions or address any concerns I had. He is definitely an asset to the company. The outcome was way past my expectations. I love it!

Frequently asked

Is Silvano Real actually a roofing company?
Yes. It trades as SR Contractors & Building Consultants, is filed with BBB as Silvano Real Contractors under Roofing Contractors and Commercial Roofing, is listed in IKO's own contractor finder, and runs detailed roofing service and roofing materials pages on its site. It is worth knowing that it also sells remodelling, outdoor living, fencing and general contracting, so roofing is one strong line of several rather than the only thing it does.
Is the company licensed by the State of Texas?
It cannot be, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. There is no state roofing board and no licence number to verify. The checks worth making are the certificate of insurance, the company's standing in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas directory, its BBB record and any registration required by the City of Leander or Williamson County.
What does RCAT Member mean and what does it not mean?
RCAT Member means the company belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and pays dues. It is not the same as RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which an individual earns separately through testing and continuing education and which is shown as CRRL, RRL or CRL. Silvano Real is carried as a Member.
Why does Class 4 impact resistance matter in Leander?
Williamson County sits in the Central Texas hail corridor, which is the single biggest driver of roof claims in the area. Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steel ball impact test, and many Texas insurers give a premium discount for a Class 4 roof. Ask your carrier what the discount is worth on your policy before paying the upgrade, because it varies a lot between insurers.
What is stone coated steel and who is it for?
It is a steel panel or tile finished with a bonded stone granule surface, so it gives metal's lifespan and impact resistance with a profile closer to tile or shake. The company lists Decra and Tilcor, both Class 4 impact rated with fifty year limited warranties. It costs considerably more than asphalt up front, so it suits owners staying long term or in HOAs with appearance rules.
Do I need a permit for a roof replacement in Leander?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is decided by each city and county. Leander, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Austin and unincorporated Williamson County each set their own rules for roof replacement. Confirm with the contractor which jurisdiction covers your address, whether a permit is required, and who is responsible for pulling it and booking any inspection.
How do I check the IKO certification myself?
Use IKO's own contractor finder at contractorfinder.iko.com and search by company name or postcode rather than trusting a badge on a contractor's website. Silvano Real Contractors appears there, though the listing shows a Liberty Hill address rather than the Leander one used on the company's site, which is normal for a nearby service address.
Can the contractor deal with my hail insurance claim?
It can document damage, produce a scope and meet the adjuster on site, and its site refers to explaining the insurance process. What it cannot do, unless separately licensed as a public adjuster, is negotiate or adjust the claim for you. And in Texas it is illegal for a contractor to pay, waive or rebate your deductible, so treat any such offer as a warning sign.
What should I confirm before signing?
Ask for a certificate of insurance covering general liability and workers compensation, sent by the agent rather than forwarded by the contractor. Get the shingle or panel product named exactly, along with the underlayment, the manufacturer warranty tier and the separate workmanship warranty term. Confirm whether the crew are employees or subcontractors, and get the payment schedule in writing.
Does this directory endorse Silvano Real?
No. This site is editorially independent. We report what public records and the company's own pages actually say, verify insurance separately, and link the primary sources so you can check them. Ratings shown on a profile come from Google only, and no part of a listing can be paid for.
