About

Ramsey Roofing Co. LLC is a family owned roofing and general contracting company based in Burleson, in Johnson County south of Fort Worth. The company lists its address as 649 Christopher Ln, Burleson, TX 76028 and answers on 833-425-5766 (833-4-ALLROOFS). The Better Business Bureau records the business as started on 1 June 2017 and BBB Accredited since 3 April 2018, with Curtis D. Ramsey as managing member. The work mix is roof replacement, roof repair, commercial roofing, general contracting and exterior remodeling, and the company says it is fully bonded and insured. Its services pages name asphalt shingles, metal and modified bitumen flat systems, and the site also references wood shake, clay tile and concrete tile roofs. Product lines it works with include Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed, Atlas, IKO and Malarkey. Burleson sits in the North Texas hail belt, so storm damage and insurance claim work are a routine part of the local roofing calendar. The company keeps unusually wide hours for the trade, Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 2pm to 6pm, and advertises a lifetime labor warranty. Texas has no statewide roofing license, so permits and inspections are handled by the City of Burleson and the relevant county.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Not checked for BurlesonTexas has no state roofing licence, and city rules differ: some require contractor registration, some run a voluntary registry, some neither. Ask this company and your local permit office.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0681 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Over a year ago, I met Curtis and his team while they were replacing my neighbor’s roof. I was immediately impressed by the quality of their workmanship and the efficiency with which they completed the job. After a severe hailstorm that same year, I found myself needing a full roof replacement as well. Unfortunately, I was dealing with a difficult and uncooperative insurance company. What followed was a long and frustrating process. Throughout that entire year, Curtis stood by me. He advocated on my behalf and worked directly with the insurance adjusters—traveling to Killeen three separate times to ensure the inspections were fair and thorough. Even after the roof approval, we faced additional challenges involving the paint and garage doors. Curtis continued to fight for what was right and did not walk away when things became complicated. Many contractors would have moved on from a situation like mine. Curtis did not. During the painting phase of the project, his crew demonstrated their character in an unexpected way. When an Air Conditioning company truck caught fire in my neighbor’s driveway, the house painters immediately stepped in to help me fight the fire until it was under control by the fire department. That moment spoke volumes about the kind of people Curtis hires—hardworking professionals who also genuinely care about the community. Thanks to Curtis’ persistence and the dedication of his team, I received the full scope of repairs I needed: a new roof, garage door and track replacement, and a complete exterior paint job. The before-and-after transformation speaks for itself. I am extremely pleased with the final result and have received numerous compliments from my neighbors. I highly recommend Curtis and his team for their integrity, commitment, and quality work.

From start to finish every interaction was personable and professional. They provided samples and explained about the products so that we could make the best choice for our home. They took their time to come and talk to the insurance inspector and answer any questions that came up. We are ecstatic over how well our new roof and gutters turned out. We definitely would recommend to anyone having a roofing or gutter need.

Curtis Ramsey and his team did an A+ job of replacing our roof. Mr. Ramsey was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the process. He met with us, our insurance inspector, and was available to answer all of our questions. When his estimate did not match that of the insurance company, he fought for us and won. The job itself was completed in a day, and the cleanup was as great as the work on the roof. Thank you, Ramsey Roofing Company. You really do put people before profit!

From the first moment, my wife and I knew we made the right choice when we called Ramsey Roofing. We called Ramsey as our second opinion. Not only was he more professional, but he was able to provide a quote that was less than half of the other company, while still using high-quality material and skilled labor. After a couple meetings, and without any pressure, Curtis and his crew ended up replacing the entire fascia around the house. He made sure that's what we wanted to do and did not try to talk us into any more than we wanted or needed. After that, they replaced old, rotted decking, added a layer to make sure our roof was up to code, then completed the roof - it looks fantastic! Not to mention our new, two-tone seamless gutters! Lastly, Curtis and his crew replaced wood paneling on the side of my house with brick, cleaned our brick, and applied the German smear technique to the entire exterior. Most importantly, Curtis is present and openly communicates with you and his crew so that you know there is no chance of any misunderstanding. Everything you want or need, Curtis and his crew provides. Needless to say, we are BEYOND pleased with the outcome of this entire project. The work speaks for itself. Our neighbors have visited us to let us know how great they think the house looks - brand new! Any more work I have planned for the outside of my house will exclusively be done by Ramsey Roofing. There is no other person I trust more than Curtis and his crew.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ramsey Roofing for a full roof replacement on my house, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professional. The team at Ramsey Roofing was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me through every step, from selecting the right materials to understanding the timeline and costs involved. They were punctual, efficient, and maintained a clean worksite throughout the project. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. My new roof looks fantastic. It's clear that they take pride in their work and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. (A special shoutout to Ryan for all of his work, time, communication and dedication to getting everything done right and in a timely manner!) I highly recommend Ramsey Roofing Company to anyone in need of roofing services. Their commitment to excellence and customer care truly sets them apart.

Frequently asked

Is Ramsey Roofing Co. licensed by the State of Texas?
No roofing contractor is. Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so there is no state licence number to check. What you can check instead is insurance, the company's RCAT standing, its BBB record, and whether the City of Burleson issues the permit in the contractor's name.
What does the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs a voluntary credential (RRL, CRL or CRRL) that a contractor earns by examination and by meeting insurance and experience requirements. Ramsey Roofing Co. is carried as Licensed. That is a step beyond plain RCAT membership, which only requires paying dues.
How is RCAT Licensed different from RCAT Member?
Member means the company pays association dues and appears in the RCAT directory. Licensed means it also holds the separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential. The two are not interchangeable, and a company can be a member without ever sitting the licensing exam.
Why does hail matter so much for a Burleson roof?
Burleson sits in North Texas hail alley, where spring storms regularly drop hail large enough to bruise or fracture asphalt shingles. Damage is often invisible from the ground, so a post-storm inspection is worth booking even when the roof looks intact.
Are impact resistant Class 4 shingles worth it here?
For most North Texas homeowners, yes. UL 2218 Class 4 shingles resist hail bruising far better than standard three tab products, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your carrier what documentation it needs before the roof goes on.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Burleson?
Texas has no statewide building code for this, so permitting is set city by city. Burleson requires a permit for reroofing work. Confirm the contractor is pulling it in its own name rather than asking you to pull a homeowner permit.
What insurance should I ask this contractor to show?
Ask for a current certificate of general liability insurance and, if the crew is employed rather than subcontracted, workers compensation. Have the certificate sent directly from the insurance agent rather than handed to you as a photocopy.
Ramsey Roofing Co. advertises a lifetime labor warranty. What should I check?
Get the terms in writing before you sign. Confirm what counts as a workmanship defect, whether the warranty transfers if you sell the house, and what voids it. Manufacturer material warranties are separate and come from the shingle maker, not the roofer.
How do I confirm this is the Burleson company and not a same named firm elsewhere?
Ramsey Roofing is a common name and unrelated companies trade under it in other states. Match on the domain ramseyroofingcompany.com, the Burleson TX 76028 address and the 833-425-5766 number before you engage anyone.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for the total price rather than an insurance dependent figure, the shingle brand and product line by name, the start and completion window, who supervises the crew on site, how the deductible is handled, and how debris and nail cleanup is managed. Get all of it in the written contract.
