About

Pro Builders Roofing LLC, which markets itself online as PC Pro Builders, is a roofing, siding and gutter contractor working out of 201 Elm Street in Forney, Kaufman County. BBB records show the business started in February 2012, was incorporated as an LLC in December 2015, and has held BBB accreditation with an A+ rating since July 2012. The company covers residential and commercial roof installation, repair and maintenance, and lists EPDM, flat, modified bitumen, asphalt shingle, tile, white membrane and metal systems among the roof types it installs. It also offers siding, gutters, residential and commercial remodeling and insurance claim assistance, which matters in a stretch of North Texas that takes regular hail. Its published coverage runs from Forney across the Dallas Fort Worth region, with McKinney, Frisco and Allen named on the site. Texas issues no state roofing licence, so the checkable signals here are insurance, RCAT status and manufacturer certification. Pro Builders Roofing is carried in the GAF contractor directory and appears in the RCAT directory. The contact page also shows a second address, Suite 1200 at 2435 N Central Expressway in Richardson, which is the Regus serviced office centre at Palisades Central II rather than a separate yard or crew base.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0554 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had an amazing experience with Pro Builders roofing from start to finish. They repaired my roof, gutters, & garage after a storm. Daniel & the team went above and beyond. He explained the problem clearly, and gave a fair, detailed estimate. They completed repairs quickly and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. We’ve had heavy rain since the repair, and there have been no issues at all. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing roof repairs.

Joe was extremely helpful. I’m glad a neighbor who had great feedback of Pro Builders referred them to me. I had 3 other roofers before this who tried to deal with insurance without success but Joe didn’t give up until my claim got reasoned. Very professional, transparent and practical. They finished my roof fast and well done.

Everything from start to finish was great with Pro Builders Roofing. Daxx Hill was great to work with and he explained everything about the whole process of filing a claim, and the inspection. He was even able to come out the day the adjuster came to inspect. Highly recommend this company and Daxx for your roofing needs. He is honest and trustworthy and looks out for what’s best for the homeowner.

Start to finish great experience! A friend from work recommended me. I waited to see how his house went, and they did a great job! They were able to navigate me and my wife through the whole process. Helped us consider things we never thought about. Daniel was very thorough and thoughtful throughout the whole thing. He pushed things along without being pushy. In fact he even dealt with the adjuster while we were out of town. He showed up for every appointment. Did what he said he would do, the roof looks great. No debris or mess left behind. I had no idea my insurance would pay for so much of the cost of replacement, so if you are sitting there wondering, give pro builders roofing a call. My roof was 3 tab shingle 17 years old.. so having this great New architectural 5 tab shingle is one less thing I have to worry about. Thank you!

Joe was great. Very thorough communication. Cane the same day of the storm and patched our leak for a very reasonable price. Even came back and refunded us when we accidentally overpaid him. I don’t leave reviews often, but this service was one of a kind and very well deserving of the five stars.

Frequently asked

Does Texas issue a state roofing licence?
No. Texas has no state licence for roofing contractors, so there is no state licence number to look up and no state board to complain to. The things you can actually verify are general liability and workers compensation insurance, RCAT standing, manufacturer certification, and whether your city requires contractors to register locally.
What does this company's RCAT status mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas keeps two separate things. Plain membership means a company pays dues and agrees to the association's code. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through experience, testing and continuing education. This listing records the company as holding RCAT Licensed status, which is the stronger of the two.
Where is Pro Builders Roofing actually based?
Its operating address is 201 Elm Street in Forney, Kaufman County, which is where its Google Business Profile and Yelp listing are pinned. A second address in Richardson appears on the contact page, but that suite is inside a Regus serviced office centre, so treat Forney as the working base.
Does it help with hail damage insurance claims?
The company lists insurance claims assistance as a service and says it has licensed staff adjusters on the team. Kaufman County and the surrounding DFW counties sit in the part of Texas that gets the most damaging hail, so claim experience is worth asking about in detail before you sign.
Are impact resistant shingles worth it in North Texas?
Class 4 impact rated shingles pass the UL 2218 steel ball test and hold up better to hail than standard three tab products. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof. Ask your carrier what the discount is before you choose, because it varies a lot between insurers.
What roof types does the company install?
Its own site lists EPDM, flat roofs, modified bitumen, asphalt shingle, tile, white membrane, residential metal and commercial industrial metal. That mix means it can quote both a suburban shingle replacement and a low slope commercial roof.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Forney or Richardson?
Texas has no statewide building code administration for residential reroofs, so permitting and inspection are handled city by city. Forney and Richardson each run their own building departments with their own fees and inspection rules. Confirm in writing who pulls the permit and who schedules the final inspection.
How do I verify a Texas roofer's insurance?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent to you directly by the insurance agent, not a PDF forwarded by the contractor. Check that it names both general liability and workers compensation, that the policy dates cover your job, and that the insured name matches the company on your contract.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Get an itemised written scope, the total price, the start and finish window, and separate warranty terms for workmanship and for materials. Texas law makes it illegal for a contractor to pay, rebate or waive your insurance deductible, so walk away from anyone who offers it. Ask for lien waivers as payments are made.
Does the company work on commercial buildings?
Yes. It advertises commercial roofing and commercial roof maintenance alongside its residential work, plus commercial remodeling, and it installs low slope systems such as EPDM, modified bitumen and white membrane.
