Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Excellent experience from start to finish! The contractor, Neil Simon did an amazing job negotiating with my insurance company and getting my new roof. Previously, I was denied a new roof by my insurance company that only agreed to cover repairs to my roof. Neil and his team from “ Priority Roofing” was professional, on time, trustworthy, and very knowledgeable. He clearly explained the process, answered all my questions, and delivered high-quality work. The cleanup was thorough, and the finished roof looks fantastic. It is no longer an “eye-soar” on my street. I truly appreciate the attention to detail and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this contractor to anyone needing roofing work! Call Neil and he will take good care of you!!! Please check out my before and after photos. It’s quite a transformation!!! Neil has been nothing, but a blessing!!!! Satisfied Customer, Paula Simmons

I can't express enough on what a LIFESAVER Anthony Beltrez at Priority Roofing was throughout my entire insurance claim nightmare! He helped me navigate my entire 9mo long claim processes (entirely caused by my cheap "low cost" insurance provider) that eventually ended up with a beautifully replaced roof with his team that got their portion of the job done within just a day! His team was very professional and I couldn't have made it through the insurance hoops without his expertise! I can't sound more like a paid review or bot right now but I can't find a better way to express my gratitude towards Anthony and his team! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Jeremiah and the Priority Roofing crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. Jeremiah provided excellent communication to update me on all parts of my Roofing installation. On the day of the roof installation, the crew came early and worked really hard throughout the whole day. They provided picture updates of my roof the entire day of the install. They did an excellent job of installing the roof and clean up afterwards. I highly recommend Priority Roofing.

This company is awesome. My insurance company kept denying me. But priority continue to contest the denials. It took months, but we finally got approved for full roofing, replace. Missy and her team were outstanding. They even had a team to remove my. Solar panels clean down professionally and put them back up the way they were.

Matt LeJeune was instrumental in helping me navigate my insurance claim and repair the damage to my property from the microburst hail storm in May 2025. Matt was in contact with me the night it happened to check in and was onsite the next day to assess the extensive tree, fence, gutter, and roof damage. He worked quickly to help repair four broken trusses with decking and a broken window to prevent further damage until the insurance claim could get processed. Even once the initial insurance payout was made, Matt advised me on an appraisal and appeal and got me substantially more in payout. With this, I was able to get a full roof replacement at the highest quality with class 4 rating. I highly recommend Priority Roofing Austin and Matt LeJeune as your contractor.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require roofing contractors to hold a state license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license. Instead of a license number, homeowners should verify the contractor's insurance, check its RCAT status, and confirm any registration the city requires. Priority Roofing's Austin office is part of an RCAT member company.
Is this company an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Those are two different things. RCAT membership means the company belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separately earned certification. This listing reflects Member status; ask the company directly if you want proof of the licensed contractor credential.
Where is the Austin office located?
The office is at 12303 Technology Blvd, Suite 900, Austin, TX 78727, in the McNeil Business Park in northwest Austin. The local phone is (512) 884-1287 and hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Is the Austin office part of a bigger company?
Yes. Priority Roofing of Austin is a branch of Priority Contracting & Roofing LLC, founded in Dallas in 2016. The headquarters is at 1420 W Mockingbird Ln, Suite 540 in Dallas, and the brand operates offices in dozens of cities nationwide.
Does Priority Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes. Storm and hail restoration with insurance claim support is a core part of what the company does. Central Texas sits in hail country, so documenting damage promptly and getting a professional inspection before filing a claim is worthwhile.
What are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and are they worth it in Austin?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under the UL 2218 hail test. In hail-prone Central Texas, many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, so it is worth asking any roofer, including this one, to quote impact-resistant shingles alongside standard ones.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Austin?
Texas has no statewide building code for this; permitting is decided city by city. Check current requirements with the City of Austin Development Services Department, and expect a reputable contractor to handle any required permits and inspections.
Can a roofer waive or absorb my insurance deductible in Texas?
No. Since 2019, Texas law makes it illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or absorb a homeowner's insurance deductible. Treat any offer to eat the deductible as a red flag with any company.
What services does the Austin office offer?
Residential and commercial roof inspections, repairs and replacements, designer roofing systems, emergency roof repair, and help navigating storm damage insurance claims.
How long has Priority Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started in July 2016. It was founded in Dallas and has since grown into a multi-state operation; the Austin branch has held its own BBB accreditation since 2020.
