About

Drury Roofing is a Central Texas roofing contractor operating from 11206 Bluff Bend Dr in north east Austin, Travis County. No website was carried on the record we hold, but the company does have one: druryroofingtx.com, confirmed as the right business by the matching Bluff Bend Dr address, the (512) 836-0634 phone number that also appears on its BBB file, and the office@druryroofingtx.com address. The company's own history page says the business started in 1951 as The Stone Company and was incorporated in 1968 as Drury Roofing and Sheet Metal. The scope is unusually broad for a residential roofer. Published services cover residential and commercial roof replacement, repairs, inspections, maintenance, emergency repairs, new construction and storm and hail damage work. On materials the company lists asphalt shingles, standing seam metal, copper, clay tile, concrete tile, slate tile, synthetic roofing, wood shake and shingle, and modified and TPO systems on commercial buildings. Named product partners on its own pages include GAF, CertainTeed, McElroy Metal, Mulehide and Velux, and it says it is a certified installer of GAF Timberline Solar. On credentials, GAF's own contractor directory lists the company at Master Elite level, GAF's top residential tier, which allows it to offer the Golden Pledge limited warranty on qualifying systems. Its BBB profile carries an A+ rating with accreditation since 14 July 2020. The company also states memberships with the National Roofing Contractors Association, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, the Central Texas Roofing Contractors Association, the Metal Roofing Contractors Association and the Home Builders Association of Austin, and says it carries full general liability and Texas workers compensation cover.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0148 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

If you’re looking for a roofing company that combines decades of experience, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer care, Drury Roofing is truly top-tier. With roots going back over 70 years serving Central Texas homeowners and businesses, this is a local company that consistently delivers dependable results you can trust. From the very first consultation, the team made the whole process feel straightforward and stress-free. Their experts took the time to thoroughly assess my roof, explain all the options in clear terms, and recommend the best solution tailored to my needs. Their focus on honesty and transparency—without any high-pressure sales tactics—was refreshing and greatly appreciated. Once the project got underway, their professionalism really shined. The crew worked efficiently, paid attention to every detail, and kept me informed at every step. The quality of the installation was excellent, and once the job was done, the cleanup was spotless—something I value highly in any home service. What stands out about Drury Roofing is not just the craftsmanship, but how they care about customers long-term. They handle everything from routine roofing projects to storm repairs expertly, and they’re even experienced in helping navigate insurance claims when severe weather impacts your home. If you want a roofing company with deep local roots, reliable service, and high-quality results, I wholeheartedly recommend Drury Roofing. They earned every one of these five stars!

I am very pleased with the new roof Drury Roofing put on my house. The crew did an outstanding job. They worked very hard to do an excellent job and cleaned up thoroughly when they were through. One worker used his magnet tool to be sure that all nails were removed in my driveway before I drove my car into the garage. I worked directly with Hill Adams at Drury. He did an outstanding job of explaining the steps in this process and the timeline. He had put together an excellent crew to put on my new roof. Hill always communicated quickly by email or text when I had a question. I would highly recommend Drury Roofing and Hill Adams to anyone who has roofing issues.

During the June 9 storm, a large limb perforated my roof. Based on a neighbor's recommendation, I called Drury Roofing to assess the damage. Harold Peterson was at my house on June 10, and his crew patched the hole until they could do a full repair, which they did and did beautifully. You would never know there had been a huge hole in my roof. See the Before & After pictures attached. The cost of the repair was less than the estimate! I would trust Drury Roofing to do any roof repair, as well as an entire new roof. They are honest, diligent, and respectful.

I couldn't be happier with my new roof from Drury Roofing! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and incredibly skilled. They took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure I understood all my options. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding and my roof looks fantastic. What really impressed me was their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. They cleaned up thoroughly every day and were always available to answer my questions. If you’re looking for reliable, honest, and top-notch roofing services in Austin, I highly recommend Drury Roofing! Call Hill Adams!

Frequently asked

Is Drury Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofing company in Texas can be state licensed for roofing. What you can check is insurance, factory certification and association standing. The record we hold lists Drury Roofing as an RCAT Member, GAF's directory lists it at Master Elite level, and its BBB profile carries an A+ rating. The company states it holds full general liability and Texas workers compensation cover, and you should ask for those certificates in writing.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas has two separate things. Membership means the company belongs to the association and pays dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and insurance requirements. They are not equivalent, and the status we hold for this company is Member.
Does Drury Roofing have a website?
Yes. The record we started from had no website on file, but the company runs druryroofingtx.com, which lists the same Bluff Bend Dr address and the same phone number as its BBB profile. Contact is on (512) 836-0634 or office@druryroofingtx.com.
What does GAF Master Elite mean?
Master Elite is the top tier of GAF's residential factory certification and GAF restricts it to a small share of contractors in each area. Master Elite contractors must show licensing where required, insurance and a satisfactory reputation, and only they can offer GAF's Golden Pledge limited warranty on qualifying roof systems. Drury Roofing appears at Master Elite level in GAF's own directory.
How old is the company, really?
The company's own history page says the business began in 1951 as The Stone Company and was incorporated in 1968 as Drury Roofing and Sheet Metal. Corporate records tell a shorter story: the BBB file gives a business start date of 1 November 1988 and an incorporation date of 30 September 2019 for Drury Roofing, LLC, and the association record shows the entity established on 8 November 1988. The 1951 date is the trading lineage the company claims, not the age of the current legal entity.
What roof types can it actually handle?
More than most. The published material list covers asphalt shingles, standing seam metal, copper, clay tile, concrete tile, slate tile, synthetic roofing and wood shake, plus modified and TPO systems on commercial buildings. If you have a tile or slate roof in west Austin, that breadth matters, because a shingle only crew will often not touch them.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it around Austin?
They are usually worth pricing. A Class 4 shingle passes the UL 2218 steel ball impact test and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for one. Central Texas gets hail less often than the Dallas and Fort Worth corridor but the storms can be severe. Ask your agent for the exact credit your carrier gives, then ask for a Class 4 option quoted next to the standard shingle.
Who pulls the permit for a roof replacement in Austin?
Texas has no statewide building code administration, so this is set locally. Inside the Austin city limits a reroof normally needs a permit through Austin Development Services, and in Round Rock, Kyle or Georgetown the local city handles it. Get it in writing that the contractor pulls and closes out the permit and that the final inspection is passed before the last payment.
Does the company help with insurance claims?
Yes. Its storm repair pages cover post storm damage inspections, hail damage repair and roof replacements, and the enquiry form includes an insurance claim option. Remember that under Texas Insurance Code chapter 707 no contractor may waive, rebate or absorb your deductible, so an offer to do so is a red flag whoever makes it.
What should be in the contract before I sign?
The exact product line and colour, tear off versus overlay, a decking replacement allowance with a stated per sheet price, underlayment and flashing detail, ventilation work, whether the GAF Golden Pledge or a lesser warranty is being registered, cleanup and magnet sweep, the workmanship warranty length, permit responsibility and the payment schedule. If a warranty tier is promised verbally, make sure the contract names it.
