Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Justin Marsh with Priority Roofing did an excellent job. He performed a very thorough roof inspection and took the time to explain everything clearly. I received a detailed written estimate the same day, including a full breakdown of the work and costs, which I really appreciated. Justin is a true professional—knowledgeable, honest, and respectful. He followed up afterward to make sure I had everything I needed but was never pushy or pressuring me to make a decision. I highly recommend Justin Marsh and Priority Roofing and will definitely refer them to friends and family in the future.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Jordan Mcgibeny. If Jordan is the roofer working with you and you’re insurance company just know your in good hands he will do all the work and you just relax all you need to do is tell him what roof color want and he will make it happen. I had an amazing experience with priority roofing definitely never going with a different company i highly recommend priority. Jordan was on top everything he is very transparent and went above and beyond made sure everything was squared away. my roof was in rough shape and the situation I was in with my insurance company was not easy so for me to get a totally new roof and the insurance paid 100% of it was definitely a huge win. The roof looks amazing I have the nicest roof in the neighborhood. The clean up surpassed my standard i did not find a single straggler nail or screw in my yard the crew did a very thorough job, I couldn’t even that tell if anyone was there working that day because of how nice and clean they left everything. I am a very happy customer.

This company is the bomb!! From the time Justin and Diego knocked on my door to chat about an estimate, to the last time Justin came by to check on a shingle and do more nail cleanup, they have been totally professional and upfront with all information. I don’t speak “roofing”, so Justin helped me with estimates from the adjuster and monetary claim breakdown, the supplemental adjuster and estimates, how money would come, and what to do next. They worked with our schedule to set the install around it. They are the height of customer service, checking all the boxes, and their products and warranties are superior! They care about helping their customers repair, renew, and beautify their homes for lasting functionality and longevity. I have honestly never had such a positive roofing experience, and highly recommend this company in every way!!

Frequently asked

Does Texas require roofing contractors to hold a state license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license. Instead of a license number, homeowners should verify the contractor's insurance, check its RCAT status, and confirm any registration the city requires. Priority Roofing's Waco office is part of an RCAT member company.
Is this company an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Those are two different things. RCAT membership means the company belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separately earned certification. This listing reflects Member status; ask the company directly if you want proof of the licensed contractor credential.
Where is the Waco office located?
The office is at 4949 Franklin Ave, Suite A, Waco, TX 76710. The local phone is (254) 299-5398 and hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Is the Waco office part of a bigger company?
Yes. It is a branch of Priority Contracting & Roofing LLC, founded in Dallas in 2016. The headquarters is at 1420 W Mockingbird Ln, Suite 540 in Dallas, and the brand operates offices in dozens of cities nationwide.
Does Priority Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes. Storm and hail restoration with insurance claim support is a core part of what the company does, and the Waco area sits in Central Texas hail country. Documenting damage promptly and getting a professional inspection before filing a claim is worthwhile.
What are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and are they worth it in Waco?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under the UL 2218 hail test. In hail-prone Central Texas, many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, so it is worth asking any roofer, including this one, to quote impact-resistant shingles alongside standard ones.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Waco?
Texas has no statewide building code for this; permitting is decided city by city. Check current requirements with the City of Waco Inspection Services, and expect a reputable contractor to handle any required permits and inspections.
Can a roofer waive or absorb my insurance deductible in Texas?
No. Since 2019, Texas law makes it illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or absorb a homeowner's insurance deductible. Treat any offer to eat the deductible as a red flag with any company.
What services does the Waco office offer?
Residential and commercial roof inspections, repairs and replacements, designer roofing systems, and help navigating hail and storm damage insurance claims.
How long has Priority Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started in July 2016 in Dallas, and the company has since opened offices across Texas and other states, including this Waco branch.
