About

The Original Hall's Roofing & Sheet Metal is one of the oldest roofing names in Central Texas, founded in 1939 and still family-operated across four generations. The company is based at 40216 Industrial Park Circle in Georgetown, Williamson County, and is woman-led: president and owner Shannon Hall took over from her father David Hall, and her daughter Faith works in the office as a potential fifth generation. The company installs, replaces, repairs, and maintains shingle, metal, and flat roofs, handles storm damage restoration with insurance claim assistance, and offers roof inspections and 24/7 emergency repairs. It serves Georgetown and a wide ring of Central Texas cities from Round Rock and Cedar Park up to Killeen, Temple, and Belton. BBB confirms the 1939 founding date and has accredited the company since 2009 with an A+ rating. The company lists Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed, IKO, TAMKO, Atlas, and Malarkey among the brands it works with.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0360 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

This is the 1st time I have lived long enough in one place to have the roof replaced! This year, 2026 marks 21 years! I selected Hall's Sheet Metal & Roofing in Georgetown from watching them do their "magic" on neighbors houses in past years and admiring their work. And today they are doing their "thing" on my house. Gotta LUV the young lady (THINK PINK) who is President (owner/mgr) of a family business started by her grandfather in 1939 !! She has NO FEAR...climbing ladders, walking roof tops like taking a Sunday stroll!

Ms Shannon and her team from the office to the crew are amazing Shannon asked me to pick out the color of the roof I wanted and tell you the truth I’m not good of matching colors so I let her choose the color for me and she hit that dead on the nail perfect I am so happy with my roof and if you need any Roofing needs do not hesitate to call Shannon at Hall Roofing. You will not be let down highly recommend if I could put 20 stars down I would.

Wonderful experience for a not so wonderful situation. Roof had a leak- needed to replace the entire roof- didnt have the money- Hall’s roofing let me pay in payments. They were amazing, real people. In a world filled with bots- it was such a refreshing experience dealing with real genuine good people. Thank you Halls roofing.

I recently hired Halls Roofing for a full roof replacement and had an exceptional experience. From the initial inspection through to the final cleanup, the entire team was professional, efficient, and communicative. They even handled all the coordination with my insurance company, which made the entire process completely stress-free. The crew was incredibly respectful of my property and did a thorough job cleaning up—I haven't found a single stray nail in the yard. I highly recommend them for any major roofing project!

Frequently asked

Is Hall's Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license, so no Texas roofer holds one. Look instead for proof of insurance, voluntary credentials such as those from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), and local registration where cities require it.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Membership means a company belongs to the trade association and pays dues. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is earned separately through an exam plus insurance and experience requirements. Always ask which one a contractor holds.
How long has Hall's Roofing been in business?
The company was founded in 1939 and has stayed in the same family for four generations. BBB independently lists the founding date as October 1939, which makes it one of the longest-running roofing companies in Central Texas.
What areas does Hall's Roofing serve?
It is based in Georgetown and serves surrounding Central Texas communities including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Taylor, Jarrell, Pflugerville, Marble Falls, Belton, Temple, Killeen, and Harker Heights.
Does Hall's Roofing handle hail and storm damage?
Yes. Storm damage restoration is a core service, and the company assists customers with the insurance claim process. Williamson and Bell counties sit in the Texas hail belt, so this is a large part of local roofing work.
What types of roofs does Hall's Roofing install?
Shingle, metal, and flat roofing systems. The company lists manufacturer brands including Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed, IKO, TAMKO, Atlas, and Malarkey among the products it works with.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Williamson County?
Frequently yes. The Georgetown and Round Rock area sees damaging hail, and Class 4 shingles resist larger hailstones. Many Texas insurers discount premiums for impact-resistant roofs, so ask your insurer what qualifies before you choose.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Georgetown?
Permitting in Texas is set city by city because there is no statewide requirement. Georgetown and neighboring cities each have their own rules, so confirm with the local building department, or ask the roofer to confirm what your city requires, before work begins.
Does Hall's Roofing offer emergency repairs?
Yes. The company advertises 24/7 emergency roof repair availability for storm and leak situations.
What should I check before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Get scope, price, and warranty in writing, request a certificate of insurance directly from the carrier, and confirm cleanup and disposal. Texas law also requires homeowners to pay their insurance deductible; any contractor offering to waive or absorb it is breaking the law.
