About
Graziano Roofing of Texas is a Houston tile, slate, and metal roofing specialist operating from 4134 Pinemont Drive. The company was formed in 1998 around superior tile roof application and is part of the Graziano family of roofing companies started by Joe Graziano in 1982. It serves residential and commercial projects within roughly 100 miles of Houston, handling new construction roofing and re-roofing along with custom flashing and waterproofing and custom gutters, with free inspections and estimates.
The company holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been BBB accredited since January 2004, with BBB listing Adam Stanford as principal. Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Starting this off by saying that Im not a Karen of any type. I was driving on the highway on 610 a few weeks ago and this roofing truck was moving in front of me in traffic when some guy sitting in the back seat decided to flick me off with the middle finger. Whoever did it didn't realize that I wasn't the only one in the car but my little sister also saw and was super upset afterwards. I tried to call the company but no one picked up the phone. Before anyone thinks I'm making this up, I took the picture of the truck.

Frequently asked
How long has Graziano Roofing of Texas been in business?
The Texas company was formed in 1998, a date confirmed by both the company's history page and its BBB profile. The wider Graziano roofing family dates to 1982.
Is Graziano Roofing of Texas BBB accredited?
Yes. Its BBB profile shows an A+ rating and accreditation since January 2004, one of the longer BBB track records among Houston roofers.
Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no state roofing license. Meaningful signals are insurance verification, association standing such as RCAT, BBB history, and manufacturer directory listings.
What does RCAT Member mean for this company?
It means the company is a dues-paying member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. That is distinct from RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, so ask the company which it holds if that matters to you.
Why choose tile or slate roofing in the Houston area?
Tile and slate handle heat well, last far longer than asphalt shingles, and resist hail better than standard shingles. They cost more up front and are heavier, so proper structural support and experienced installation matter.
Does my house need reinforcement for a tile or slate roof?
Possibly. Tile and slate weigh several times what asphalt shingles weigh, so an experienced installer should confirm the framing can carry the load before any conversion from shingles. Ask how that evaluation will be documented.
Does Graziano handle commercial work?
Yes. The company serves residential and commercial tile roofing projects and appears in GAF's commercial roofing contractor directory.
Can a roofer waive my insurance deductible in Texas?
No. Since 2019 it is illegal for a Texas contractor to pay, waive, or absorb an insurance deductible, and insurers can require proof you paid it.
How does hail affect tile roofs and insurance claims?
Hail is the leading roofing peril in Texas. Concrete and clay tile resist moderate hail better than standard shingles, but large hail can still crack tiles. Document damage with photos and get a written assessment before filing a claim.
What should I confirm before signing a roofing contract?
Written scope and materials, total price and payment schedule, workmanship and manufacturer warranty terms, proof of liability insurance sent from the insurer, and who is responsible for any city permit.
