Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

RCAT status Licensed Roofing Contractor Verify ↗credential held by Mayela Felder RRL
City/county registration No government registration in The WoodlandsThe Woodlands is a township, not a city, and Montgomery County does not enforce building codes on single family homes. Deed restrictions still apply, so check with The Woodlands Township before work starts. No city or county body registers roofers or inspects this work here, so a contractor's insurance and RCAT standing carry more weight than usual. Ask to see both.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0512 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Working with Elite Roofers to replace our roof was a true pleasure. I enjoyed working upfront with Jordan setting up a ventilation plan that worked best for our attic - the prior ventilation plan had been at up entirely wrong. As project managers, Jonathan and Ruben, were very professional engaging me and leading the work onsite. The crews were amazing, I was pleased to see how they organized all the materials and performed work, protecting our plants and keeping our pool clean. Once the roof was replaced,, they did a thorough job cleaning up everything, not a spec was left on the ground. And most importantly, our new roof looks excellent. I highly recommend Elite Roofers to anyone looking to replace their roof.

We had a wonderful experience working with Elite Roofers. Replacing a roof is a huge investment and honestly a stressful process for any homeowner, but their team made us feel supported from start to finish. Jonathan provided excellent customer service throughout the entire project, and Jordan took incredible care with our home and our family. One thing that really stood out was the amount of time they spent helping us select the right skylights. They were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we chose the best option for both appearance and functionality instead of rushing us through the process. After the roof installation, we did run into some gutter issues from debris and materials that surfaced afterward, but Elite Roofers stood behind their work, helped address the gutter damage concerns, and made sure the gutters were properly cleaned out. That level of professionalism and accountability means a lot. You can tell this company truly values relationships, communication, and quality workmanship. “Elite” is not just part of their name — it reflects the experience they strive to provide every customer. We are grateful for the care, professionalism, and attention to detail they showed throughout the entire project and would absolutely recommend them to others.

I interviewed several companies and found ELITE roofers to be the most competitive in pricing for what they were offering, as well as the most professional in their approach to earning my business. They were easy to work with and communicated clearly. They showed genuine concern about the overall success of the project, including cleanup. I would definitely recommend them.

Exceptional service from Elite from start to finish. This company ensures everything is well taken care of… We had a team working with us and we had the ability to call with any questions at anytime. They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and follow through with each and every commitment. We received photos of each stage of roofing our home. They go the extra mile and I would highly recommend Elite Roofing.

Did you know that roofing companies don’t have to be license in TX? It’s voluntary! I didn’t know until I replaced my roof. Elite Roofers is licensed with RCAT and they use CertainTeed products, which, as the premier roofing material supplier, has a high standard of who they’ll allow to install their products. Everyone I worked with from onsite inspection, install, office staff, and post touch ups were genuinely nice people and high professional integrity. Replacing my roof is a large investment and integrity of my roof is a huge source on anxiety. Go with Elite Roofers. They are honest, helpful, go above and beyond, and provide a great product.

Frequently asked

Is Elite Roofers licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license. The credential that exists is the voluntary licensed contractor program of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), and Elite Roofers displays a Texas roofing license number (01-0512) from that program on its website. Always pair any credential check with verified insurance.
Do I need a city permit to reroof in The Woodlands?
The Woodlands is a township without a conventional city government, so there is no municipal roofing permit office the way there is in Houston or Conroe. Most of The Woodlands lies in unincorporated Montgomery County, and residential covenants and village design standards can still apply, so check your village association's rules and confirm requirements for your specific address before work begins.
Does Elite Roofers help with storm damage insurance claims?
Yes. Insurance claim assistance is one of its core services, with a dedicated claims specialist on staff, and the company handles storm related repairs and full replacements.
What is a CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster?
It is CertainTeed's highest residential credential tier, which the company states it holds, and it allows a roofer to offer CertainTeed's SureStart PLUS enhanced warranties that add coverage beyond the standard shingle warranty. Ask to see the current certificate and the exact warranty registered for your job.
What shingles does Elite Roofers install?
The company installs CertainTeed's Landmark family, including Landmark, Landmark PRO, ClimateFlex, Solaris (reflective) and Premium lines, and publishes shingle color guides on its site.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it near Houston?
They can be. Class 4 rated products (such as ClimateFlex versions) resist hail and wind-borne debris better, and some Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them. Ask your insurance agent what discount your policy allows before choosing.
What area does Elite Roofers cover?
It is based on Oak Ridge Drive next to The Woodlands and serves Montgomery County communities like Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Conroe, Magnolia and Willis, plus greater Houston areas including Spring, Tomball, Cypress, Katy, Kingwood and Pearland.
Does the company offer financing?
Yes, the company advertises financing options for roof work. Confirm current terms directly before signing.
What are its business hours?
Its chamber of commerce listing shows Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm, closed Sunday. Phone: 832-290-2837.
What should I confirm before signing with any Texas roofer?
Get a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer, a written scope with brand and line of shingle, the registered manufacturer warranty, local references, and clarity on deductibles. Texas law prohibits contractors from waiving or absorbing your insurance deductible.
