Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0569 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Elevation roofing was fast and efficient and had a representative meet with my insurance adjustor to help me with getting a new roof for my house and shed, window screens, fence repaired, and new gutters after a bad hail storm. There team was able to replace my roof in about 8 hours and went above and beyond, I would recommend them to anyone who has experienced storm damage!

Elevation Roofing is the top choice for roofing projects or a roof replacement. I can't recommend them enough. I would recommend them to my family and friends. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jared and Jason Cunningham, who were incredibly attentive and genuinely concerned about my needs. They suggested the best roofing materials to ensure a reliable warranty and durability. I chose GAF shingles for their excellent warranty and Class 4 impact resistance against wind and hail. True to their word, they deliver on every promise. Without a doubt, this is a 5-star company. Thanks so much, guys!

We had a great experience with Elevation Roofing from start to finish. They inspected our roof, provided a quote, completed the repairs, and sent the invoice all within just 5 days — incredibly efficient. Their team showed excellent attention to detail and took the time to thoroughly explain everything along the way, which we really appreciated. They were respectful of our home and property, and maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the entire process. Highly recommend Elevation Roofing if you’re looking for fast, reliable, and quality service!

If you're looking for a roofing company that gets the job done right—with grit, efficiency, and true attention to detail—let me tell you about Elevation Roofing and Solar. These folks don’t just hammer nails and call it a day. They bring craftsmanship and care to every part of the project, and the results speak for themselves. Jared Cunningham, who led the charge on my project, was a total pro from start to finish. His communication was prompt, clear, and consistent—exactly what you want when you're taking on a major job like roof replacement and solar panel work. He kept me informed every step of the way and made the process feel smooth and stress-free. And the crew? Like a well-oiled machine. They worked quickly but never cut corners. They replaced my roof with precision, handled the removal and reinstallation of my solar panels like seasoned experts, and installed new gutters built to withstand anything. Their attention to detail was outstanding—they left no mess, no loose ends, and no doubt that the job was done right. Elevation Roofing and Solar is the real deal. If you want a team that takes pride in their work, shows up ready to deliver, and leaves your home looking better than ever, look no further. Five stars, all the way. Thank you, Jared and team—keep up the excellent work! Ricky

Alex and his team did a fantastic job on our roof. Not just on the house, but also our shed. The time Alex spent ensuring the job was done to his meticulous satisfaction was very reassuring to us. Especially when he was forced to deal with a less than desirable vendor for a certain product covering for our pergola. Thank you for te amazing work Alex and the team at Elevation Roofing.

Frequently asked

Is Elevation Roofing & Solar licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level. Trust markers to check instead are insurance, the voluntary RCAT credential, manufacturer certifications and BBB standing. This company holds verified GAF Master Elite and Owens Corning Preferred credentials and an A+ BBB accreditation.
What areas does the company serve?
It is based in Waxahachie and lists service across Ellis County towns such as Midlothian, Red Oak, Ennis, Ovilla, Maypearl and Venus, plus DFW area cities including Mansfield, Burleson, Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, McKinney and Plano.
Does it help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes. Storm and hail damage repair is a core service, and the company states it helps homeowners through the insurance claim process. Ellis County sits in the North Texas hail corridor, so hail claims are common here.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Ellis County?
Often yes. Class 4 shingles resist hail better and some Texas insurers file discounts for them with the Texas Department of Insurance. Ask your insurance agent what discount applies before you choose materials.
What do GAF Master Elite and Owens Corning Preferred mean?
Both are manufacturer credentials that require vetting such as insurance verification and installation standards, and both unlock stronger manufacturer backed warranty options. Elevation Roofing & Solar appears in both the GAF and Owens Corning contractor directories.
Does the company work on flat or commercial roofs?
Yes. It lists commercial roofing and flat roof systems including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, plus foam and coating systems for restoration.
Can it install solar?
Yes. The company brands itself Elevation Roofing & Solar, installs solar panels, and states a Texas solar and electrical contractor license (No. 35068, stated by the company).
Is emergency service available?
The contact page lists the business as open 24 hours, Monday through Sunday, and emergency leak repair is one of its listed services.
Do I need a permit to reroof in Waxahachie?
Texas permitting is handled city by city because there is no statewide enforcement body. Check current requirements with the City of Waxahachie building department, and confirm your contractor will handle any required permit.
What should I verify before signing with any Texas roofer?
Ask for a certificate of insurance direct from the insurer, a written scope and warranty, local references, and whether the company is an RCAT member or holds the separately earned RCAT licensed contractor credential. Get the payment schedule in writing and avoid paying in full up front.
