About

Divine Construct LLC is a roofing and general contracting company with its main office at 5700 Tennyson Parkway, Suite 300, Plano, and a second Texas office at 4097 US Highway 271, Suite 137, Tyler. Its stated work covers residential and commercial roofing, roof inspections, storm restoration, insurance claim support and broader exterior construction. This is a very new business. The BBB profile records the business start and incorporation date as 8 August 2025, with BBB accreditation granted on 17 November 2025 and a current A minus rating. The RCAT directory lists the company as a member since 2025 with Garett Howell as the contact, and the BBB profile also names Amildo Briceno as managing partner. Because the company is less than a year old, there is little independent track record to review yet, which is a normal position for a new entrant rather than a negative finding. The company advertises a wide multi state footprint that reaches well beyond Texas into Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona and Missouri. Its Texas coverage is listed as Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Austin, Waco, San Antonio, Houston, College Station and Tyler. Homeowners hiring any storm chasing capable contractor should confirm which crews will actually be on the roof, get liability and workers compensation certificates, and confirm local permit requirements, since Texas has no state roofing licence and no statewide residential building code.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Frequently asked

How long has Divine Construct been in business?
Less than a year as of mid 2026. The BBB profile records the business start date and date of incorporation as 8 August 2025, and the RCAT directory lists it as a member since 2025. Treat any longer experience claim as belonging to individual staff rather than the company.
Is Divine Construct an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
The RCAT directory lists it as a Member, which means the company pays association dues. That is a different and lesser thing than the separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL), which requires examination and continuing education. Do not read Member as a licence.
Is the company licensed by the State of Texas?
No, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence to anyone. There is no state roofing board and no state licence number to check. Your real verification points are current general liability and workers compensation certificates, RCAT standing, BBB history and any city registration.
Which certifications are verified and which are claims?
BBB accreditation and RCAT membership were confirmed on the BBB and RCAT records. CertainTeed ShingleMaster status and HAAG Certified Inspector status appear on the company's own website but were not locatable in CertainTeed's Find A Pro directory or an independent HAAG roster, so ask to see current certificates before relying on them.
What should I be careful about with a very new roofing company?
A new company can do excellent work, but a labour warranty is only as good as the company that backs it. Ask how long the workmanship warranty runs, who honours it if the company closes, whether a manufacturer backed warranty is being registered in your name, and get proof of insurance rather than a certificate copy from an old job.
The company lists offices in several states. Does that matter?
It can. Contractors that follow storms across state lines sometimes staff a job with travelling crews. Ask who specifically will be on your roof, whether they are employees or subcontractors, who your local point of contact is after the job, and how a warranty call would be handled if the regional office moves on.
Are impact resistant Class 4 shingles worth it in Collin County?
Collin County and the wider DFW area sit in North Texas hail alley. Class 4 impact rated shingles pass a UL 2218 steel ball impact test that standard shingles do not, and most Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof. Check the discount with your carrier first, then get the Class 4 rating written into the proposal.
Can a roofing contractor negotiate my hail claim for me?
Not as your adjuster. Texas law bars a roofing contractor from acting as a public insurance adjuster on a claim it is also contracted to repair. A contractor can inspect, document damage and provide a scope and price. Negotiating scope and settlement is between you, your carrier and, if you choose one, a separately licensed public adjuster.
Do I need a permit for a reroof in Plano?
Texas has no statewide residential building code enforcement, so permitting is decided city by city. Plano, Dallas, Fort Worth and Tyler each set their own rules and fees. Confirm which jurisdiction covers your address and make the contract state who pulls and pays for the permit.
Does a Plano roof need WPI-8 windstorm certification?
No. WPI-8 certificates and TWIA windstorm inspections apply only to the fourteen first tier Gulf Coast counties. Collin County is inland North Texas, so windstorm certification does not apply. Hail rating, deck condition, underlayment and flashing detail are what matter in this market.
