About

Carsa Construction & Roofing, LLC is a Dallas area roofing and general construction company with its BBB registered address at 4950 Keller Springs Road, Suite 130 in Addison. The company's own site says it has served the Dallas Fort Worth area since 2009, while its BBB profile lists a business start date of 1 March 2011. It also lists offices in Carrollton, Frisco and McKinney. The company covers both sides of the storm repair business. Residential and commercial roofing, roof repair, hail damage repair and insurance claim assistance sit alongside siding, gutters, home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodelling, custom stonework, painting, and fire and water damage restoration. On commercial buildings the site describes built up roofing, single ply membranes, metal, and cool or reflective roof options. C.J. Mora is listed on the BBB profile as president and owner. Carsa appears in GAF's own residential contractor directory as a GAF Certified contractor, which is the tier that allows the System Plus limited warranty, and it appears in the Owens Corning contractor directory as an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. It has been a BBB Accredited Business since April 2014 with an A+ rating. Its RCAT status here is plain Member, meaning association membership rather than the separately earned RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential. Texas issues no state roofing licence, so confirm current insurance directly with the insurer before signing.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Our laundry room needed new floors, counters, and a brand new built in cabinet. We know several people who have used CJ and were very happy with his team’s work, so we had him come out for a quote. We were very impressed with how thorough the quote was with details on cost of each line item. When the project started, we thought the communication was excellent and the project manager Armando stopped by to check in pretty much daily which was nice. The workers were respectful and did a really thorough job. We are so happy with the look and quality of our updated laundry room and will definitely be calling Carsa Construction for our next project!

Excellent work….. They removed our old second story deck and railings, made repairs and built new deck and added iron railings. It looks great. Will continue to use for other projects and highly recommend (before and after photos)

I would highly recommend Carsa Construction. Our home and kitchen area was flooded in the Spring due to a faulty drain pipe in our kitchen which led to a full replacement of our (continuous) hardwood flooring, kitchen cabinets, some walls/baseboards and fireplace in living room. We were referred to Carsa following a lengthy Insurance process where our public adjustor recommended Carsa. We worked with Alfredo primarily and he was awesome: responsive, reasonable, and most importantly provided great attention to detail and was thorough throughout. We were forced to move out for 1.5 months while the work was completed and we NEVER felt out of the loop. We were constantly updated and Carsa adjusted to several change orders we requested due to indecision (on our part). Carsa was on-time, on-budget and pricing was reasonable. Most importantly they made our house a home again and the craftsmanship and quality of their work is superb. I work in commercial real estate and deal with developers and GC's all the time so I came into this process expecting the worse (delays, over budget, and shoddy work) but was blown away and impressed by Carsa. They made a tough situation bearable and HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys! We will be using them again for our next project.

We recently had our whole roof replaced, carpet replaced, and drywall fixed & painted by CARSA Construction & Roofing. From start to finish, CJ’s team was professional, reliable, and communicative. He kept us updated throughout the process, answered all of our questions promptly, and made sure we understood each step along the way. The quality of the work is excellent—our roof looks great, the interior repairs were done well, the crews were respectful in our homes and clean up well after. CJ showed up at the end of project to make sure we are happy with our work. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor who cares. Thank you CJ and the teams at CARSA Construction.

Carsa Construction Company went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service on my kitchen remodel. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations. I was highly satisfied with the outcome. I added extra work during the process, and they worked it in. The team even worked to assure I could at least cook in my kitchen during the Thanksgiving Holiday. The construction team arrived each day on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. The construction team was extremely professional and paid attention to detail. Thank you, CJ, and team I will be using you again.

Frequently asked

Which manufacturer certifications can actually be verified for Carsa?
Two. Carsa Construction and Roofing appears in GAF's own residential contractor directory as a GAF Certified contractor, the tier GAF allows to offer the System Plus limited warranty. It also appears in the Owens Corning contractor directory as an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. Its own site additionally references NRCA membership, which was not independently confirmed.
What is the difference between GAF Certified and GAF Master Elite?
GAF has tiers. Certified is the entry credential and unlocks the System Plus limited warranty. Certified Plus and Master Elite sit above it with longer warranty options and tighter entry requirements. Carsa is listed at the Certified level. If a specific GAF warranty term matters to you, ask which warranty the contractor can actually issue on your roof and get it in writing.
Does Texas licence roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence, so no roofer in Addison or anywhere in the state can be state licensed for roofing. What can be verified is current general liability and workers compensation insurance, any city registration required for the job, manufacturer credentials such as GAF Certified or Owens Corning Preferred, and voluntary association membership such as RCAT.
What does the RCAT Member status shown here mean?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. Member means the company belongs and pays dues. It is a different and separate thing from RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL), which has to be earned through testing and experience requirements. Carsa is listed here as a Member.
Is Carsa BBB accredited and what is the rating?
Yes. CARSA Construction & Roofing, LLC has been a BBB Accredited Business since 21 April 2014 and holds an A+ BBB rating. The BBB profile lists the address as 4950 Keller Springs Rd Ste 130, Addison, TX 75001 and C.J. Mora as president and owner.
How old is the company?
There is a small discrepancy worth knowing about. The company's own site says it has served the Dallas Fort Worth area since 2009. The BBB profile lists a business start date of 1 March 2011. Either way it has been operating in the Metroplex for well over a decade.
How bad is hail in the Addison and North Dallas area?
North Texas sits in the corridor often called Hail Alley and hail is the leading cause of roof insurance claims across the Metroplex. Damage frequently looks minor from the ground, so after a significant storm it is worth getting a documented inspection with photographs before the insurer's own deadline for filing runs down.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth paying for in Dallas County?
Often yes. Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steep slope impact test, and many Texas insurers give a premium discount for a Class 4 roof that can offset part of the extra material cost over time. Both GAF and Owens Corning make Class 4 shingle lines. Ask for the discount amount from your own insurer in writing before deciding, since the credit varies a lot by carrier.
How should a hail insurance claim be handled?
Get an independent inspection and keep the photographs. File the claim with your carrier and let the adjuster inspect. A contractor may attend the adjuster meeting and point out damage, and Carsa's site says it works with adjusters, but in Texas a roofer cannot act as your public adjuster on the same job they are contracted to repair. Never sign a contract that ties you to a roofer before the claim outcome is known.
What should be settled before signing a roofing contract in Addison?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly by the agent showing current general liability and workers compensation. Get the shingle brand, line and impact rating written into the contract rather than a generic description. Confirm whether the manufacturer warranty being promised is one the contractor's credential level can actually issue. Confirm who pulls the Town of Addison permit, since Texas has no statewide code enforcement and permitting is handled locally. Avoid large up front deposits.
