Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Branded Roofing provided excellent customer service and quality work on my home in Plano. They handled almost all the correspondence with my home insurance adjuster, advised me in steps to resolve the damage, showed up on time, identified other structural problems to insure quality work and safety, and advised me of additional work that I may want to have done to stay up to code and preserve the integrity of my home. I highly recommend Branded Roofing as a long time home owner with high standards for stewardship and quality work.

The team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, arriving on time and executing the project with precision and efficiency. The quality of workmanship was excellent, and the job was completed exactly as promised. A special mention goes to Tim Spicer, the owner, whose responsibility and responsiveness truly set the company apart. He was attentive and communicative, ensuring that every detail was handled properly throughout the process. In addition to their strong service and reliability, their pricing was fair and competitive, offering great value for the quality delivered. Overall, Branded Roofing is a highly dependable company that I would confidently recommend to anyone seeking roofing & construction services.

Tim and his team were awesome they got our hail damaged roof knocked out quick on both the house and barn, was great when it came to dealing with the insurance company and didn't make excuses when his subs fell short of the mark but stepped up like a champion and did whatever was necessary to make it right for us. They are they best I even recommended him to our neighbor who got three quotes and he blew the others out the water! Which made me look good 👍 7 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tim and his team are amazing. Tim showed up at 7AM on a Saturday after a storm to repair wind damage to the roof, and I called him at 9PM the night before. When it came time to replace the whole roof due to more storm damage, Tim was amazing to work with. He made everything easy on us during during a very trying time for us. Will definitely contract with Branded Roofing and Construction for any future roofing or renovation needs.

I had a minor emergency compared to others, and they responded as if my issue was a major emergency. They made me feel as if I was the only problem they had to deal with. They were professional, communicated well, kept me up to speed as far as the process and my repair, and just went above and beyond. They never made excuses or condemned me for my small project. I cannot say enough positive things about Tim and his company. I would most definitely and highly recommend them. He has earned my trust and faith in his business. He has a wonderful work ethic, and so do his employees. My repair was handled with the utmost urgency and professionalism. Again they have exceeded, far exceeded, my expectations. His employee showed up, was respectful of my property, and got the job done before I knew it. If you have roofing needs, this is the company to call.

Frequently asked

Where is Branded Roofing and Construction based and what does it cover?
Its Texas headquarters is at 2100 North Main Street, Suite 107, Fort Worth, TX 76164, with a second office in Oklahoma City. It names DFW, Tarrant County, Parker County and Weatherford among the areas it serves.
Is the company licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas issues no state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer has one. Trust here rests on verified insurance, RCAT standing, city registration where required, manufacturer credentials and third party inspector certification.
What does RCAT Member mean here?
Branded Roofing and Construction is listed by RCAT as a Member, meaning it belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. That is separate from the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL), which is earned individually through testing and continuing education. Member and Licensed are not the same thing.
What is a HAAG certified roof inspector?
HAAG Engineering runs the certification programme that many insurance adjusters and forensic engineers train under for assessing hail and wind damage. A contractor holding it is trained to the same damage assessment standard insurers use, which matters when a claim is disputed.
Can a roofing contractor negotiate my insurance claim for me in Texas?
No. Under Texas law a roofing contractor cannot act as a public adjuster on a claim for a property it is also contracted to repair. A contractor can document damage, meet the adjuster on site and provide a scope and estimate, but it cannot adjust or negotiate the claim on your behalf. Be wary of anyone offering to.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Fort Worth?
Tarrant County sits in North Texas hail alley, so yes for many owners. Class 4 is the highest UL 2218 impact rating and most Texas insurers offer a premium credit for it. Confirm the exact discount with your carrier before you pay for the upgrade.
Does Fort Worth require a permit for a roof replacement?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting and inspection rules are set city by city. Ask your contractor to confirm in writing that it pulls the permit for your jurisdiction and schedules the inspection, rather than leaving it to you.
Does the company do commercial as well as residential work?
Yes. It publishes separate commercial and residential lines, with TPO and single ply commercial systems, leak diagnostics and moisture detection on the commercial side and shingle, metal, tile and slate on the residential side.
What is its Google rating?
We record 4.9 as the Google star rating on our cross check, with roughly 109 Google reviews reported by a third party mirror of the profile. Ratings on this directory come from Google only, never from aggregator scores.
What should a DFW homeowner ask before signing after a hail storm?
Ask for insurance certificates sent direct from the insurer, get the full scope in writing including tear off and decking, ask which manufacturer warranty tier the crew qualifies for, refuse any offer to absorb or waive your deductible (that is illegal in Texas), and check the workmanship warranty term and who honours it if the company changes hands.
