About

Blue Hammer Roofing is a Dallas based roofing company operating from 8330 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, Building B Suite 604, in Dallas County. The company states on its own About page that it was founded in 2008, and it is now part of RAFTRx Roofing + Exteriors, a multi state roofing group. It has been a BBB Accredited Business since 12 February 2020 and holds an A+ rating. The work splits between high end residential roof replacement and a substantial commercial and multi family side covering overlays, re-roofing, and full apartment complex roof projects. Storm damage inspection, hail damage repair, and insurance claim assistance are core to the offering, and the company advertises free, no obligation roof inspections across the metroplex. Materials span asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and flat roof systems. Blue Hammer describes itself as GAF Certified, a CertainTeed ShingleMaster, and a Google Guaranteed contractor, and as a member of both the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association. Beyond the Dallas headquarters it lists Texas offices in Round Rock (serving Austin), San Antonio, and Amarillo. Dallas sits squarely in the North Texas hail belt, so Class 4 impact resistant shingles and hail claim handling are the relevant considerations here rather than coastal windstorm rules.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Required in Dallas Check the registry ↗Contractor Certificate of Registration (Dallas City Code Chapter 52). Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0567 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had the pleasure of working with Blue Hammer Roofing, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. Tim, Syrice, and Alfredo, the foreman, and his crew were absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Tim and Syrice were great to work with—professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. Alfredo demonstrated strong leadership, clear communication, and a real commitment to quality. His crew worked efficiently, stayed professional throughout the project, and paid close attention to every detail. It’s clear they all take pride in their work. The job was completed on time, the worksite was kept clean, and the final result exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a reliable and hardworking roofing team, I highly recommend Blue Hammer Roofing—Tim, Syrice, Alfredo, and the crew did an amazing job. Great work all around!

We had an outstanding experience with Blue Hammer Roofing from start to finish. Oscar was incredible—his communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring throughout the entire project. He went above and beyond, especially when working with our insurance adjuster, and was even on-site during the inspection to make sure everything went smoothly. On installation day, Cesar, our quality control manager, was equally impressive. He kept us informed every step of the way, sharing detailed updates and photos, including amazing drone shots that really showed the progress and quality of the work. The crew also did an exceptional job with cleanup—they truly left our property better than they found it, which we really appreciated. The entire team made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and well-managed. We truly appreciate their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction. We highly recommend Blue Hammer Roofing!

I cannot speak highly enough about the entire team at Blue Hammer Roofing. I began working with Richard Day more than a year ago after they had completed my neighbors house and he did a great job leading me through the whole process of working with insurance disputes, etc. and we finally crossed the finish line today! Dave Hassani, Zee and James We’re kind enough to get me scheduled early after going through the appraisal process and getting this completed ahead of storms coming next week they really did a fantastic job! My wife and I are extremely pleased with the new shingles. We went with a black shingles that matches the exterior accents and brick on the house much better than the weathered wood style shingles that the builder provided. They arrived on site this morning and got started at 7 AM and finish the install portion by noon and continue to ensure that they did a thorough job cleaning up any of the additional materials, roofing nails, etc. Definitely five star service all the way through!

These words of Praise go out to Tanya Case and her Crew from Blue Hammer Roofing. They did an Amazing, Outstanding and Professional Job on my roof today. They came over early and finished early as well. They did a Great Job with Clean Up and made sure to close up a hole in my roof where a squirrel was a roommate for a minute. I’d also like thank Oscar Arroyo who was my first contact and Project Manager as well as Paul Bean Senior Director. Thank You All Yours Sincerely Carlos & Dina Marve’

I couldn’t be happier with the work done on my roof! Initiating the process Kevin and Trey were professional, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and made everything smooth and stress-free. On installment day Jerry and his crew were punctual, respectful of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly once the job was complete. You can truly tell they take pride in what they do. Thank you again for such a great experience!

Frequently asked

Is Blue Hammer Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer holds one. The meaningful checks are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, RCAT status, the BBB record (A+ and accredited since February 2020 here), and any City of Dallas registration tied to your permit.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT Membership is a paid trade association membership. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL, or CRL) is earned separately through RCAT's own requirements and is not the same thing. Ask any contractor which of the two it actually holds.
How long has Blue Hammer Roofing been operating?
The company's own About page states it was founded in 2008. Its BBB profile lists a more recent incorporation date of 25 April 2023 and identifies the owning entity as Hammer Wealth Holdings, which reflects a change of corporate structure and its move into the RAFTRx group. Both facts are accurate in their own context.
Does Blue Hammer handle commercial and apartment roofs?
Yes. Alongside residential replacement, the company markets commercial roofing, overlays, re-roofing, and services aimed at apartment and multi family clients.
Where does Blue Hammer work in Texas?
The Dallas office at 8330 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway covers the metroplex, including Fort Worth, Irving, Plano, Arlington, Garland, Denton, Frisco, McKinney, Carrollton, Grapevine, Lewisville, Allen, and Rockwall. The company also lists offices serving Austin (from Round Rock), San Antonio, and Amarillo.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Dallas?
Dallas County sits in the North Texas hail belt, so Class 4 is usually the upgrade worth pricing. Class 4 is the top rating under the UL 2218 steel ball impact test. Ask for the specific product's Class 4 documentation, since not every shingle in a brand's range qualifies.
Will a Class 4 roof reduce my homeowners premium in Texas?
Many Texas carriers offer an impact resistant roof discount, but the amount and the approved product list vary by carrier. Get the discount confirmed by your agent before selecting the shingle, and keep the manufacturer's UL 2218 certificate with your policy documents.
Does the coastal windstorm rule (WPI-8 or TWIA) apply to a Dallas roof?
No. WPI-8 inspections and TWIA windstorm coverage apply only in the first tier Gulf Coast counties. Dallas County is inland, so hail resistance, attic ventilation, and correct flashing are the things to focus on.
Who issues the roofing permit in Dallas?
Texas has no statewide building code administration, so permits and inspections are handled city by city. For a home inside the city limits that is the City of Dallas. Agree in writing who is pulling the permit before work begins.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract after a hail storm?
Ask for insurance certificates sent directly from the insurer or agent, a written scope covering underlayment, decking replacement rate, and flashing, who pulls the permit, the workmanship warranty term and who honours it, whether crews are employees or subcontractors, and confirmation of the shingle's impact rating. In Texas a roofer may not act as a public adjuster on a claim it is also bidding, so read any assignment of claim rights carefully.
