About

Texas Premier Contractors is a family owned roofing and exterior contractor based at 2400 Central Parkway, Suite J in northwest Houston. The core work is residential roof replacement and repair, storm and hail damage restoration, and help with insurance claims. The company also sells siding (James Hardie fiber cement, vinyl and engineered), 5 inch and 6 inch K style seamless gutters, replacement windows, attic insulation and interior remodeling. Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Excellent experience with Texas Premier Contractors on my roof replacement! They communicated clearly throughout the entire process and gave me numerous options to choose from. Pricing was very competitive. The finished product exceeded my expectations. Steven went above and beyond responding to all my requests. Job was completed on time, and the clean-up afterward was exceptional. Highly recommend this team!

Texas Premier did an excellent job removing our old roof and installing our new one. Coordinating efforts started weeks in advance. Site visit, quote, samples were dropped off to pick from, dumpster was dropped off a few days before they started to collect debris from Old roof, plants and pool were covered up before they started. Removal and installation took place in 1 day! It was a windy day and some debris flew and or fell into neighbors' yards around us. They did a great job of picking it all up and used special magnets to collect nails that had fallen in our property. Final Walk through took place a few days after roof was done. Highly recommend this company. Great crew! Came with an awesome warranty!!

Awesome customer service. I asked for several things to be done a certain way and I hated to be picky but my project manager was always willing to be there for us and help us get exactly what we wanted. These guys do the right thing and are not pushy. No red flags whatsoever. They came back at the end to make sure everything was cleaned up and finished the right way. We appreciate all the hard work!

They were incredibly responsive and professional from start to finish. After a thorough inspection, they gave us an honest assessment that our roof is still in good condition for its age and advised against a full replacement—even though they easily could have pushed for the sale. That level of integrity and transparency is hard to find and speaks volumes about their business. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing services who values honesty, reliability, and expert guidance.

Window replacement Steven and his team are a wonderful group to work with! Great service, detailed outline of the process and what to expect. Provided a quality product and had great work ethic throughout. Clean up was spectacular. There was zero debris left behind. We highly recommend.

Frequently asked

Does Texas have a state roofing licence I should check?
No. Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofing company in Houston holds one. What you can check instead is current general liability and workers compensation insurance, membership or credentials with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, a real BBB file, and whether the contractor is listed in the manufacturer's own contractor directory.
Is Texas Premier Contractors RCAT Member or RCAT Licensed?
It appears in RCAT's contractor directory as a member listing. RCAT membership and the separately earned RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential are two different things: membership means the company pays dues and joins the association, while the licence is earned by a named principal who passes exams and meets insurance and experience requirements. Ask which one applies before you sign.
Which manufacturer certifications can I verify for this company?
Two. Texas Premier Contractors has its own profile in GAF's residential contractor locator and its own profile in Owens Corning's contractor directory. The TAMKO and Pella credentials are stated by the company and were not independently confirmed in a manufacturer directory.
Why does an impact resistant shingle matter in Houston?
Harris County is an inland market, so the practical risk on most Houston roofs is hail, severe thunderstorm wind and falling debris. Class 4 impact rated shingles are tested against a steel ball drop and hold up better against hail, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask for the specific product name and the UL 2218 Class 4 rating in writing.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code for this, so permitting is set city by city and county by county. The City of Houston requires permits for roofing work, and the rules differ if you are in an unincorporated part of Harris County or in one of the surrounding suburbs this company serves. Confirm in writing that the contractor is pulling the permit, not you.
What does the company actually do besides roofing?
It also installs siding (James Hardie fiber cement, vinyl and engineered), 5 inch and 6 inch K style seamless gutters, replacement windows, attic insulation, and it takes on interior remodeling. If a storm damaged more than the roof, that can mean one contract instead of three.
Will they handle my hail or storm insurance claim?
The company advertises storm restoration and insurance claim handling. A contractor may document damage, meet your adjuster and scope the repair, but the claim decision is your insurer's. Be wary of anyone who offers to waive or absorb your deductible, which is not legal in Texas.
How old is the company and where is it based?
BBB records the business start date as 12 August 2014 and the company describes itself as serving Greater Houston since 2014. Its address is 2400 Central Parkway, Suite J, Houston, TX 77092, in Harris County.
What should I ask for before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
A written scope with the shingle brand, product line and colour, the underlayment and ventilation details, the workmanship warranty length and who backs it, current certificates of insurance sent directly by the insurer or agent, the permit responsibility, the payment schedule, and confirmation that the crew doing the work is the crew you were promised.
How can I check this company's reviews independently?
It has a BBB profile with an A+ rating, a Yelp page, a Google Business Profile, and a GuildQuality profile carrying verified post job surveys. Reading across two or three of those, rather than only the testimonials on the company website, gives a fairer picture.
