About

Rushing Roofing & Contracting is a Richardson based residential and commercial roofing company working across Dallas and Fort Worth and the northern suburbs. Its published office at 3400 N Central Expressway, Suite 100-247 is in Dallas County, and the RCAT directory records a second Richardson address on North Greenville Avenue, also in Dallas County. Richardson straddles the Dallas and Collin county line, so the Dallas County designation rests on those two street addresses rather than on the city name. The business started in January 2020 and has been a BBB Accredited Business since 10 February 2020, holding an A+ rating. The company's own About page names Isaac Rushing as chief executive officer and Keylen Escamilla as chief operating officer, and the BBB file lists Isaac Rushing and Keylen Rushing as managing members. Services run from roof replacement and repair through storm restoration and insurance claim assistance, gutters, siding, fascia and soffit repair, chimney installations, pergolas, and two branded products the company calls the CatchAll System and 4 Seasons Solar Vents. Published service areas are Richardson, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Garland, Rockwall and Mansfield, plus the wider Dallas and Fort Worth area.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I'm writing this review for my Mom Pauline Pedroza whom is 82 years old and does not use a computer. Isaac is very professional and a HONEST person. Isaac first met with the insurance adjuster and once he completed the paperwork for my Mom he came by to discuss what needed to be repaired. I was present at the meeting to help my Mom with anything she didn't understand and I myself asked questions. Isaac was very detailed "To a T." He explained line by line from his tablet and also had print out of what he explained. He is patient and I would interrupt him and ask a question and he always was able to answer my questions. Isaac also told my Mom that the roof would be completed the day they started, and he was true to his word. He also told her the amount it would cost for repairs and explained what funds he would collect that day which a portion was the insurance and the other portion my Mom. He told her when they would deliver the material they would use, and what time they would start taking the old roof shingles off and replacing it with the material he delivered. Isaac and his crew did an excellent job. I told my Mom her house looks brand new and that her house had a makeover. Isaac is a young person and he stands behind his word and his crew. I highly recommend Isaac and his team. My Mom and I can't believe the awesome job they did. Don't hesitate to hire Isaac and his crew, you will not have any regrets. The highest rate of stars is five, I rate Isaac and his team a ten star🌟

Frequently asked

Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. There is no state roofing licence in Texas and no state roofing regulator. Verification has to come from elsewhere: certificates of general liability and workers compensation insurance sent to you directly by the insurer, standing in a voluntary body such as RCAT, a BBB file you can read, and any city registration your municipality requires.
What does RCAT Member mean, and is it the same as being licensed?
No, they are two separate things. RCAT, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, sells a trade association membership, and it separately awards a Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) that is earned through testing and experience requirements. The RCAT directory records this company at the Member level. Neither status is a government licence.
Is Richardson in Dallas County or Collin County?
Richardson sits across both. Rushing Roofing's two published addresses, on North Central Expressway and North Greenville Avenue, are both on the Dallas County side, which is why this listing shows Dallas. Permit and inspection rules for your own roof follow the City of Richardson regardless of which county your lot falls in.
Why is hail the main roofing threat in the Dallas area?
North Texas sits in the part of the state commonly called Hail Alley. Spring and early summer supercells regularly drop stones large enough to bruise shingle mats, dislodge granules and dent metal flashing, vents and gutters. Most premature roof replacements around Dallas, Plano and Richardson are hail driven rather than age driven.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in DFW?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under UL 2218, awarded to shingles that survive repeated two inch steel ball strikes without the mat cracking. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof, and the product typically survives more storm seasons than a standard architectural shingle. Confirm the discount with your carrier first, then have the exact product and its rating written into the contract.
Can a roofing company handle my hail claim for me?
Only up to a point. A Texas roofing contractor can inspect the roof, document damage with photographs, meet your insurance adjuster on site and price the repair scope. It cannot act as your public insurance adjuster on the same job, which is a separately licensed activity in Texas. Be cautious of anyone who offers to negotiate your claim for a cut of the proceeds.
How do I verify a roofer's insurance?
Ask for the certificate of insurance to be emailed to you by the insurance agent rather than by the contractor. Check the effective and expiry dates, the general liability limits, and whether workers compensation is included. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so if it is missing, find out who is responsible if a crew member is injured on your property.
Which certifications does the company actually hold?
The verifiable one is BBB accreditation, held since February 2020 with an A+ rating, and the RCAT membership recorded in the RCAT directory. The company also displays CertainTeed, Atlas, HAAG and NRCA marks on its own site. Those were not confirmed in the manufacturers' or associations' own directories, so treat them as claims by the company and ask to see the current certificates.
Do I need a permit for a roof replacement in Richardson or Plano?
Texas has no statewide residential building code enforcement, so permitting is set city by city. Richardson, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Garland and Rockwall all run their own roofing permit processes. Agree in writing who pulls the permit, who pays the fee and who books the final inspection before any tear off begins.
What should I check before signing a contract?
Get a written scope that covers tear off, decking replacement pricing, underlayment type, ventilation changes, the exact shingle product and colour, the workmanship warranty term and the payment schedule. Texas law lets you cancel a storm damage repair contract within a set period if your claim is denied, so read that clause. Avoid contracts that assign your insurance benefits to the contractor, and never pay the full amount up front.
