About

Restoration Roofing NTX is a McKinney based roofing contractor working across North Texas, Central Texas, and Oklahoma. Its Better Business Bureau file gives a business start date of 28 April 2017, and the company describes itself as having been formed to close a gap it saw in the industry, with a stated preference for being relational rather than transactional. It runs offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in Austin. The residential side covers roof repair, replacement, new installation, emergency roofing, inspections, storm damage work and insurance claims, plus historical restoration and solar. The commercial side is meaningfully separate rather than an afterthought, taking in flat roofing, TPO, EPDM rubber, low slope and roll roofing, industrial work, roof coatings, and commercial inspections. That mix means a homeowner and a property manager are both plausible customers. The company has been a BBB Accredited Business since August 2021 and carries an A+ rating. Published hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm, closed Sunday. Note that the rrntx.com address now redirects permanently to restorationroofingntx.com, though the company still uses rrntx.com for email and for its 1-833-ROOF-NTX phone branding.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Best roofing company ever!!! These guys are a well oiled machine and was able to redo the roof on my house and shop in one day with a team of roofers all working so well together. I could not be more pleased with our new roof and the attention to detail they gave my project. I have had a terrible experience in the past with another company so was nervous to do this again but I shouldn't have been! They covered and tarped the pool and stones and were so careful with everything around my home. Chris is top notch and was here the entire time making sure everything ran according to schedule. Not that I want another hail storm anytime soon, but every time it happens, I will only be calling Chris to come and fix my roof!

Chris was very responsive to our questions and ensured we were completely satisfied the results. Restoration Roofing NTX is five star business and highly recommended.

We are so grateful for the service we received in getting our roof replaced. Chris truly went above and beyond—he explained everything in a way we could understand and stayed in touch every step of the way. It’s rare to find a company that communicates this well and genuinely cares about their customers. Highly recommend!!

If you're looking for a reliable and professional roofing company, I highly recommend Chris Pittsinger and his team. From start to finish, Chris was attentive, knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring that our roofing project was completed with the highest level of quality. He took the time to explain all our options, provided clear and accurate estimates, and delivered exceptional service. The crew worked efficiently, and the finished roof looks fantastic. Chris made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him again for any future roofing needs. Highly recommended!

Frequently asked

Is Restoration Roofing NTX licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer holds one. What can be verified is Roofing Contractors Association of Texas standing, city registration where a municipality requires it, and current insurance. Our directory records this company as an RCAT Member, which is the dues based association status and not RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential.
Which website should I use, rrntx.com or restorationroofingntx.com?
Both reach the company. As of this listing, rrntx.com issues a permanent redirect to restorationroofingntx.com, so the longer domain is the live site. The short domain is still in use for email (office@rrntx.com) and for the 1-833-ROOF-NTX phone number.
How long has the company been in business?
Its Better Business Bureau profile records a business start date of 28 April 2017. The company's own site refers to more than eight years of operation, which is consistent with that.
Do they handle commercial roofs?
Yes, and it is a substantial part of the offering. Published commercial services include flat roofing, TPO, EPDM rubber, industrial and low slope roofing, roll roofing, roof coatings, and commercial inspections.
How far does the service area reach?
The company publishes coverage across North Texas including McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Dallas, Fort Worth, Rockwall and Mansfield, plus Round Rock and Austin in Central Texas. It also states that it works in Oklahoma.
Should I ask for Class 4 impact resistant shingles in Collin County?
It is worth pricing on any replacement here. Collin County sits in the North Texas hail corridor and takes damaging hail most years. Class 4 impact rated shingles resist bruising better, and most Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them that can recover a good share of the upcharge over the roof's life.
What does roof coating do and when is it the right call?
A coating is a liquid applied membrane rolled or sprayed over an existing flat or low slope roof to seal it and extend its life. It suits a structurally sound roof with minor defects, not one with wet insulation or widespread membrane failure. Ask for a moisture survey before agreeing to coat rather than replace.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in McKinney?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting and inspection rules are set by each city and county. McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Allen and the surrounding cities each set their own. Ask that the contract state whether a permit is required, who pulls it, and whether the fee is included.
What should I watch for in a storm damage claim?
Report the loss to your carrier yourself, keep dated photographs, and let the adjuster inspect before authorising work beyond emergency tarping. In Texas a contractor cannot act as your public adjuster on a job they are bidding, and any offer to waive, rebate or absorb your deductible is not lawful. Read any contingency agreement carefully before signing.
How do I verify a roofer's insurance?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurance agency with you named as certificate holder, and check that both general liability and workers compensation appear with dates covering your install window. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so confirm it rather than assume.
