About

American Roofing & Construction is a Corsicana based roofing, construction, and home improvement contractor owned by Randall Land, with an office manager, Denise Ruiz, operating out of 4114 S US Highway 287. The company's website repeatedly states it was 'Founded in 1988,' though the Better Business Bureau lists the legal business entity as established on 9/23/2016 and a separate business aggregator lists an LLC incorporation date of 3/27/2014, so the exact founding year could not be confirmed with confidence. The company handles residential and commercial roofing, metal roofing, seamless gutters, siding, painting, custom metal buildings, and carports, and works directly with insurance companies on wind and storm damage claims. RCAT's directory lists American Roofing & Construction as a Member. American Roofing & Construction is not a BBB Accredited Business, though the BBB shows an A+ rating. It serves Corsicana and Navarro and Ellis counties, plus Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Palestine, Belton, and Fairfield, and advertises 24/7 availability for storm and wind damage repair. This is a separate company from 'American Roofing' in Lubbock, Texas, which has different ownership and no connection to this business.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

My mom recently had her roof replaced by American Roofing and it was a job well done. Danny Reeves was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable, personable, organized, and available. What could have been a terribly stressful experience went extremely well.

Just got a roof replacement in Fairfield after a hail storm. The whole job, from meeting with Danny Reeves to get the job started and shingles selected, to working with Randall Land during the roofing work itself, was a good process. Very satisfied with the end result and can easily recommend them

Our experience with Danny Reeves and American Roofing was great. He walked us through the whole process from choosing shingles, meeting with us and the adjuster, to the final roof replacement. The roofers were great and finished in one day, exactly as promised. We are 100% satisfied.

Danny was amazing! Worked with insurance adjuster and got me a new roof! The crew did an amazing job even though it was under very hot conditions. Thanks

American Roofing & Construction is, BY FAR, the best company I have ever dealt with! I have strongly recommended them to all of my neighbors who were also affected by the recent hail storm. Justin walked me through every detail of the damage, insurance claim, shingle choices, and replacement work. The roofers were on time, courteous, and worked hard and fast until the job was completed. They left my property spotless! The new roof is beautiful! From the beginning of the process to the end, Justin has been so kind, helpful and professional. He has a calming presence about him, which is helpful when you are upset about your property being damaged. HE’S ONE OF THE GOOD ONES and I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me.

Frequently asked

Is American Roofing & Construction licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no statewide roofing license, so the company cannot be 'state licensed.' It is listed in RCAT's directory as a Member; homeowners should ask directly for proof of current liability insurance since RCAT membership alone does not verify that.
Is American Roofing & Construction an RCAT Member or RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT's directory lists American Roofing & Construction as a plain Member, meaning the company pays RCAT dues. This is different from the separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor (CRRL/RRL/CRL) credential.
Does American Roofing & Construction handle hail and storm damage claims?
Yes, the company advertises working directly with insurance companies on wind and storm damage claims, and offers 24/7 availability for storm and wind damage repair.
What roofing materials does American Roofing & Construction install?
The company's site describes shingle roofing along with metal roofing and custom metal building work; ask directly about specific manufacturer lines for a given project.
Should Navarro County homeowners ask about Class 4 impact-resistant shingles?
Central Texas sees regular hail activity, so it is worth asking American Roofing & Construction whether Class 4 impact-resistant shingle options are available and whether they could reduce an insurance premium.
Does American Roofing & Construction pull permits for roofing jobs?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is handled city by city and county by county. Confirm directly with the company and the relevant local building department whether a permit is required.
Is American Roofing & Construction BBB accredited?
No. The Better Business Bureau's own profile states the business is not a BBB Accredited Business, although BBB shows an A+ rating for the company.
What should I ask American Roofing & Construction before signing a contract?
Ask for proof of current liability insurance, a written scope of work, warranty terms for the roofing materials used, and how the company handles insurance claim documentation if the job involves storm damage.
How long has American Roofing & Construction been in business?
The company's own website states it was founded in 1988, but the Better Business Bureau records the legal entity as established in 2016, so the exact founding year is unconfirmed; ask the company directly for clarification.
Is this the same company as American Roofing in Lubbock, Texas?
No. American Roofing & Construction in Corsicana and American Roofing in Lubbock are separate businesses under different ownership in different cities and should not be confused.
