Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Jason Ishee is the best representative I’ve ever dealt with! He assisted me in roof replacement insurance claims for roof damage step by step as my claims were being denied by my homeowner insurance company. The end result was my insurance company finally agreed to cover replacing my roof and repaint interior ceiling damage. My roof is beautiful now, and I couldn’t be happier with how the new black shingles look on my home. The roof replacement took less than one full day, and the entire crew made sure cleanup was perfect. I highly recommend Jason Ishee of Priority Roofing to anyone needing consultation and roof replacement. He is honest, thorough, and considers what is in your best interest.

I recently had my roof replaced by Priority Roofing after some hail damage. Their sales rep was Cody Langford. From the initial inspection to working with insurance inspector, through scheduling and execution, Cody was always available to answer any questions. He was always professional and helpful and made sure that all my concerns were addressed all the way till the end of the project. The installation was also done very professionally and the crew made sure that they cleaned up our yard thoroughly after the installation was completed. I highly recommend Priority Roofing as a roofing company and Cody Langford as a point of contact for your roofing needs!

The roof at our rental property was damaged during a storm in 2025 and needed to be replaced. We were very fortunate to find Cody at Priority Roof, who guided us through the entire process. Cody was extremely professional when dealing with the insurance company. He thoroughly inspected the roof and documented all of the damage in great detail. When the initial estimate from the insurance adjuster came in lower than expected, Cody quickly provided a well-written report with detailed evidence to support our claim and successfully negotiated with the insurance company. As a result, the insurance company agreed to cover the full replacement cost of the roof. Cody always puts his customers’ interests first. When I mentioned that we also had some interior damage from the storm, he suggested that we file an additional claim and even helped us through the filing process. What impressed me most was that, even if the second claim had been approved, Cody and Priority Roof would not have received any additional compensation. Despite that, he still invested a significant amount of time and effort to help us because, as he said, his ultimate goal is customer satisfaction. Although the second claim was ultimately denied, we truly appreciated all of Cody’s assistance and support. On a personal level, Cody is easygoing, approachable, and highly responsive — he often returned my texts and calls within minutes, if not seconds. He was also very patient and provided excellent recommendations when helping us choose the roof color and style. His team did a fantastic job with the installation, and the new roof complements the house beautifully. It looks absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend Cody and Priority Roof to anyone in need of roofing services.

As a business owner myself, I know how challenging it can be to run crews and make sure everything runs swell. My experience with Susanna was overall great. She was very thorough and followed through with all her promises. This lady is a sharp shooter. She knows the ins and outs of her business and everything played out how she said. We have a pool in the backyard and they protected it from all the debris as well as the surrounding areas of our property. I would confidently recommend Priority Roofing to anyone looking to replace their roof. I appreciate you and your services Susanna. Sorry I took so long to post a review. However we want you to know we appreciate you and your team.

Jason Ishee with Priority Roofing was very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns regarding my replacement roof. I was very pleased with the cost and quality of work. The new roof looks great and my wife loves it. I would recommend using Jason with Priority Roofing if you’re in need of a roof or just inquiring on one.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require roofing contractors to hold a state license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license. Instead of a license number, homeowners should verify the contractor's insurance, check its RCAT status, and confirm any registration the city requires. Priority Roofing's Houston office is part of an RCAT member company.
Is this company an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Those are two different things. RCAT membership means the company belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separately earned certification. This listing reflects Member status; ask the company directly if you want proof of the licensed contractor credential.
Where is the Houston office located?
The office is at 260 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite 150, Houston, TX 77060, on the North Beltway. The local phone is (281) 380-0357 and hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Is the Houston office part of a bigger company?
Yes. It is a branch of Priority Contracting & Roofing LLC, founded in Dallas in 2016, with headquarters at 1420 W Mockingbird Ln, Suite 540 in Dallas. The company also operates a second Houston area office on the west side at 16420 Park Ten Pl.
Does Priority Roofing help with storm damage insurance claims?
Yes. Storm restoration and insurance claim support is a core part of what the company does. After Houston wind and hail events, documenting damage promptly and getting a professional inspection before filing a claim is worthwhile.
What are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and are they worth it in Houston?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under the UL 2218 hail test. Many Texas insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, so it is worth asking any roofer, including this one, to quote impact-resistant shingles alongside standard ones.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code for this; permitting is decided city by city. Check current requirements with the City of Houston permitting office, and expect a reputable contractor to handle any required permits and inspections.
Can a roofer waive or absorb my insurance deductible in Texas?
No. Since 2019, Texas law makes it illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or absorb a homeowner's insurance deductible. Treat any offer to eat the deductible as a red flag with any company.
What services does the Houston office offer?
Residential and commercial roof inspections, repairs and replacements, designer roofing systems, and help navigating storm damage insurance claims.
How long has Priority Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started on July 5, 2016 and incorporated in April 2017. The Houston location has been BBB accredited since March 2023.
