About

Aggieland Roofing is the residential roofing brand of CR Systems, Inc., a commercial and residential roofing contractor based at 12730 State Highway 6 in Bryan, Texas. CR Systems has operated in the Brazos Valley since 1996, and Rayne Knight-Zingelmann and Raul Arellano launched the Aggieland Roofing residential division in 2018 to serve area homeowners alongside the company's longstanding commercial work. The company installs and repairs residential shingle and metal roofs (using manufacturers such as Malarkey and CertainTeed) and commercial roof systems (single-ply, modified bitumen, SPF, and metal, working with Firestone, Carlisle, Sika Sarnafill, Versico, and Soprema). It is a Texas HUB certified, woman-owned business and holds RCAT's Certified Residential and Commercial Roofing License (CRRL). Commercial project history includes work for Texas A&M University, Prairie View A&M University, and the Bryan and Brenham city halls. Customer feedback on Google and Facebook is largely positive, citing responsive communication and thorough cleanup after installation. Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0461 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Aggieland roofing has put two roofs on my parents home and one on my rental in College Station. Dustin went above and beyond for me. He is honest, responsive , and most of all available. The company itself always communicated in a timely manor and if something was not done up to their standard, they were responsive and took care of it.

This company has done roofs and gutters for some of our employees! Fantastic people. They are Aggie owned and operated, great at what they do, kind, courteous, and do a fantastic job. Owner called us personally to thank us for our business and wanted to make sure everything was done to 100% satisfaction. Adam Dodson did a great job managing the job and he is very responsive at what he does, Manny from their company also a great guy. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Brazos Valley or beyond for their roofing needs! Never had anyone say anything negative about them. They support Aggie Athletics also. Just great, great people. Thank you Aggieland Roofing!

Dustin was great. Quickly identified source of issue and did temporary repair until a more permanent fix could be done. He previously fixed a leak at another house for us that a different company couldn't fix.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require a state license for roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no statewide roofing license. Homeowners should instead confirm a contractor's liability and workers compensation insurance, and check its standing with an industry association such as RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas).
What does it mean that Aggieland Roofing is RCAT Licensed rather than just an RCAT Member?
RCAT offers a basic paid Membership open to any contractor, and a separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL) that requires meeting RCAT's additional standards. Aggieland Roofing holds the Licensed designation, which homeowners can verify directly on the RCAT website.
Is Bryan, Texas prone to hail damage?
Yes. The Brazos Valley and much of North and Central Texas sit inside what roofers call Hail Alley, where large hail is a leading cause of roof damage and insurance claims.
What is a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle, and should I ask for one?
Class 4 shingles are laboratory rated to withstand hail impact better than standard shingles, and some Texas insurers offer a premium discount for installing them. It is worth asking a contractor whether Class 4 shingles are available for your roof.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Bryan?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is handled city by city. Homeowners should confirm with the City of Bryan's building department, or ask their contractor to confirm, whether a permit is required before work begins.
What should I ask a roofing contractor before signing a contract?
Ask to see proof of current general liability and workers compensation insurance, get the scope of work and materials in writing, confirm who pulls any required permit, and get copies of the manufacturer and workmanship warranties before signing.
Does homeowners insurance cover hail or storm damage to my roof?
Most Texas homeowners policies cover sudden hail and wind damage, though coverage and deductibles vary by policy. Homeowners should review their own policy and can ask a roofing contractor to help document damage for a claim.
What roofing materials does Aggieland Roofing work with?
Aggieland Roofing installs residential shingle roofs using manufacturers such as Malarkey and CertainTeed and also offers metal roofing, while its commercial division works with single-ply, modified bitumen, SPF, and metal systems.
Does Aggieland Roofing handle both residential and commercial roofing?
Yes. Aggieland Roofing is the residential brand of CR Systems, Inc., which has served commercial clients in the Brazos Valley since 1996 and expanded into residential roofing in 2018.
How can I confirm a roofing company's insurance before hiring them?
A reputable contractor will provide a certificate of insurance directly, or through their insurance agent, upon request. Homeowners should confirm the certificate is current and lists appropriate liability coverage before work begins.
