Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0254 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Outstanding company who has a culture of quality and integrity. Absolute has installed millions of sf of the most complex jobs and have been designated as Gold Medal Quality Award Winners for 7 years in a row. This company is amazing! The crew was very kind and took the time to answer any questions we had. They are hard working, clean up, and don’t stop until the job is done. That night I had two neighbors stop and tell me how great the roof looked.

Great roofing contractor! My roof had hail damage and they guided us through the whole insurance claim process. The installation was done exactly on the schedule that they provided and they kept communicating throughout the process.

Todd Lindsley oversaw our new roof project on our residential home. We were BEYOND pleased with his professionalism and thoroughness. The workers completely replaced our roof in 2 days. They are hard workers!!!! We could not believe how well they cleaned up after. You have to expect to find random nails in your grass, but we were given a metal detector that the kids had a blast using to find those lingering nails. We had a cute little surprise as well 2 days after they left when we realized our kid's treehouse had a professionally laid roof on it! We would ABSOLUTELY use Absolute Roofing again and will be recommending them to all our neighbors.

Frequently asked

Is Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a statewide roofing license. Trust is based on insurance verification, industry association membership, and city or county registration where required. Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing's principal holds RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor (CRRL) credential in addition to company Membership.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed status?
Member is a dues paying tier, while the Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL/RRL/CRL) is separately earned by an individual. Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing's principal, Dustin Guess, holds the CRRL credential.
Does Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing work on hail damaged roofs?
The company's public focus is commercial roof recoveries, new construction, leak repair, and preventative maintenance rather than residential storm claims. Ask directly whether hail related work is offered for a specific property.
Is Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing BBB accredited?
Yes, the company has been a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating since April 2024.
What types of commercial roofing does Absolute Roofing & Waterproofing install?

No. WPI-8 and TWIA windstorm rules apply only to the 14 first tier Gulf Coast counties. Travis County is inland and is not part of that program.
