About

Ducker Commercial Roofing is a family run roofing contractor based in Burleson, in Tarrant County, with its office at 6621 Storm Cat Ln, Suite 380. The BBB profile lists Matthew K. Ducker as managing member and records the business as starting on 13 August 2009 and incorporating on 8 September 2016. The company's own About page traces the family's roofing heritage further back, to the founder's grandfather starting out in the 1950s. Despite the word Commercial in the name, the company works both sides of the market. Commercial work covers new installation alongside general contractors, plus repairs and full replacement on buildings such as warehouses, nursing homes and shopping centers. Residential work covers leak repair, hail and wind damage restoration, full replacement, gutters and flashing. The services page names shingle, metal and TPO systems and lists Johns Manville, Atlas Roofing and Carlisle SynTec among the products it works with. It also builds workshops, storage buildings, garages, carports and gazebos. Insurance claims assistance is a core offering. The company says that once it is authorized it communicates directly with the insurance agent, and it offers free inspections and quotes. It appears in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas directory with Matt Ducker as primary contact, classified for residential and commercial work.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Very Happy customer. I called Ducker Roofing out to give me an estimate. I had called about 5 other companies out as well, because I was paying for this roof my insurance company denied. Ducker Roofing blew all the others away with their bid and offered more than the others also. They showed up two days later and finished my roof that same day. There is about 5000 different roof companies in the metroplex, and most are pretty sketchy, but Ducker Roofing treated me great, no games, no sketchy, just a great roof at a great price. I will use them for all Roofing needs going forward.

I love my new roof. Brent was very attentive and helped me choose the shingles that my wife and I could agree on lol and also in selecting proper ventilation for my house. They went out of their way to make sure that everything matched as far as the vents and flashing are concerned they were quick to respond to any questions I had and worked with me as my insurance company did not cover me fully. They have a great team out there and I appreciate the work that they’ve done.

I run a short-term and long-term property management company, and Brent at Ducker Roofing has been an absolute lifesaver! He's always there to assist with any roofing needs that arise. His communication is excellent, and his execution is top-notch. We highly recommend Ducker Roofing for anyone in need of reliable and professional roofing services!

Unfortunately they are very unresponsive. Getting someone to actually help you is like pulling teeth. We had them come out to give us an estimate on a minor roof repair. They were very nice during the inspection and told us to let them know when we were ready to move forward with the repairs. After we heard back from our insurance company we tried calling/emailing Ducker Roofing to move forward with the repairs. After about two weeks of us trying to get in contact with them Matthew finally emailed us our invoice only to have it $700 more than what he originally quoted us. He said it was a typo and would fix it but then he never got back to us. They obviously don't really care about helping us, which is fine, but I wish they would have just told us to find another company instead of making us wait over a month and causing more damage to the roof due to all the storms we've been getting.

I have used Ducker Commercial Roofing multiple times in the last 5 years. The have serviced our church roof quickly and did a great job. They are very friendly and their prices are extremely competitive and they have never overcharged for any service.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require a state roofing license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license, so there is no state licence number to look up for Ducker Commercial Roofing or any other Texas roofer. The meaningful checks are a current certificate of insurance naming you, the company's RCAT record, and city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires it.
What does the company's RCAT listing actually mean?
Ducker Commercial Roofing appears in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas directory as a member, with Matt Ducker as primary contact. Membership means the company belongs to the association and pays dues. It is not the same as RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL), which this directory entry does not show.
Is Ducker Commercial Roofing BBB accredited?
Its BBB profile shows an A+ rating but records the business as not BBB Accredited. The company's own website describes itself as BBB A+ Accredited, so check the current status on the BBB profile directly before relying on it.
What roof systems does the company install?
Its services page names shingle, metal and TPO systems, and lists Johns Manville, Atlas Roofing and Carlisle SynTec among the manufacturers whose products it works with. Those are products used, not manufacturer certifications, so ask separately whether the crew is factory certified for the system you want.
Does it help with hail and storm insurance claims?
Yes. Insurance claims assistance is a listed service. The company says hail, wind and hurricane remnants all affect Texas roofs, that it communicates directly with the insurance agent once authorized, and that inspections and quotes are free.
Should I ask about Class 4 impact resistant shingles in Burleson?
It is worth asking. Burleson sits in the North Texas hail belt, and Class 4 shingles are the top rating under the UL 2218 impact test. Many Texas insurers give a premium discount for a Class 4 roof, so ask any bidder to price a Class 4 option alongside a standard shingle, and confirm the discount with your own carrier before deciding.
Who pulls the roofing permit?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so roofing permit and inspection rules are set city by city and county by county. Burleson and the neighbouring Tarrant and Johnson County cities each set their own. Get it in writing which permits the contractor will pull and who schedules the final inspection.
Does the company do commercial buildings as well as houses?
Yes. Its RCAT entry is classified residential and commercial, and its commercial page describes work on warehouses, nursing homes and shopping centers as well as coordination with general contractors on new builds.
Do I need a WPI-8 windstorm certificate for a roof in Burleson?
No. WPI-8 windstorm certificates apply only in the 14 first tier Gulf Coast counties covered by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. Tarrant County is inland and is not one of them, so a WPI-8 inspection is not part of a Burleson roof job.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for current certificates of general liability and workers' compensation insurance, a written scope naming the exact shingle or membrane and underlayment, the length of the workmanship warranty, who pulls the permit, and written confirmation that your insurance deductible will actually be collected. It is illegal in Texas for a contractor to waive or rebate all or part of an insurance deductible.
