About

DACA Roofing is a family run roofing contractor based at 212 Star Pass in Jarrell, Williamson County, serving the greater Austin metro. Although no website was on file for this record, the company does have one, at dacaroofingtexas.com, and it is a full site with service pages, contact details and manufacturer information. The BBB file gives the business start date as 26 October 2021 and names Mrs. Johanna Vandebuerie as owner; RCAT's directory gives an establishment date of 27 October 2021 and names Michael Vandebuerie as the credentialed contact. The service mix runs wider than a typical small-town roofer. On the commercial side the company lists roof repair and replacement, new construction, roof maintenance programmes and historical restoration work on tile, slate and legacy systems, installing PVC, TPO and metal systems. On the residential side it covers repair, replacement, storm damage replacement and new construction across asphalt shingle, tile, slate and copper. It also offers painting and make-ready services. The site describes European roofing technique alongside current North American systems and states that it installs only fully warranted systems. Credentials verify unevenly. RCAT's directory confirms the strongest one: Michael Vandebuerie holds the CRRL Licensed Roofing Contractor credential under Commercial & Residential Roofing License #03-0677, with RCAT membership since 2025. BBB accreditation is confirmed on the BBB file, dated 5 February 2025, with an A+ rating. The Malarkey and Duro-Last certifications are stated by the company on its own site and could not be confirmed against those manufacturers' own contractor directories, both of which serve results through a search form rather than a fetchable page.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0677 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Great experience from the call to the visit. Extremely kind and thoughtful in their approach, and willing to address the issue from minor repair to full replacement as needed without pressuring to go further than necessary. Even willing to come out same-day while still raining to check out the leak. Highly recommend especially if you're local. Much appreciated!

We were quoted $10000 to redo my whole roof by 3 different companies. I called DACA and they said they could not only fix the roof, but do it at a fraction of the cost. I've had a leak in my roof for 3 years and today I am roof leaking free. Thank you for having integrity DACA roofing for giving my family and I a piece of mind.

Daca came out in the middle of a thunderstorm to fix a leak grom a previous roofing company. Great service will always recommend from this point on.

We received incredible services from DACA Roofing in the replacement of our residential roof and the commercial repairs for my workplace roof. Their Crews were prompt and professional, keeping areas clean throughout the entire process, completing the job in a very timely manner.

Bobbi McDonald· a year ago

DACA replaced all of the shingles on my house due to a recent storm. Michael and his crew are top notch. Everything was completed as expected and the work area was kept clean. They swept the yard several times to be sure no debris was left behind. I am very happy with my new roof and will recommend DACA roofing to anyone that asks.

Frequently asked

Does DACA Roofing have a website?
Yes. The company operates dacaroofingtexas.com with separate commercial and residential service pages, a contact page and maintenance plan information. No website was recorded on the original RCAT-derived listing for this company, but one exists and is active. The email address on the site is info@dacaroofingtexas.com and the phone number is (737) 600-2719.
Is DACA Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
No, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence to anyone. The applicable credential is the voluntary industry one. RCAT's directory records Michael Vandebuerie as holding the CRRL Licensed Roofing Contractor credential under Commercial & Residential Roofing License #03-0677. Ask separately for a current certificate of insurance issued directly by the insurer.
Is DACA an RCAT member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Both, and they are distinct. Membership means the company pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately by a named individual through testing and continuing education. RCAT lists DACA Roofing, LLC as a member since 2025 and Michael Vandebuerie as a CRRL holder.
How long has DACA Roofing been in business?
The Texas entity is recent. The BBB file gives a business start date of 26 October 2021 and RCAT's record gives 27 October 2021. The company's own site separately advertises more than 50 years of roofing experience across two generations, which refers to family and personal experience rather than to the age of this Texas company. Both facts can be true at once; the distinction is worth understanding before you weigh a longevity claim.
Are the Malarkey and Duro-Last certifications verified?
Not independently. The company states both on its own site, describing itself as a Malarkey certified contractor and a Duro-Last certified installer. Neither Malarkey's nor Duro-Last's public contractor finder returns a fetchable listing page, so these are recorded here as stated by the company. If the manufacturer warranty matters to your decision, ask the contractor for its manufacturer contractor ID and phone the manufacturer to confirm before you sign.
Does DACA Roofing install impact-resistant shingles for hail?
The site does not name a specific Class 4 product. It does state that hail is one of the biggest threats in Central Texas and that widespread hail damage often calls for full replacement rather than repair. If a hail premium discount matters to you, ask specifically for a Class 4 UL 2218 rated shingle by product name and check with your insurer what documentation it needs before work begins.
Does WPI-8 or windstorm certification apply in Williamson County?
No. WPI-8 certificates are a Texas Windstorm Insurance Association requirement covering the 14 first-tier Gulf Coast counties. Williamson County is inland Central Texas and sits well outside that zone. Hail and severe thunderstorm wind are the governing risks here, not coastal windstorm.
Who handles permitting for a roof in Jarrell or the Austin metro?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so it varies by jurisdiction. A reroof in the City of Austin, in Round Rock, in Georgetown, in Jarrell and in unincorporated Williamson County can each be treated differently, and some jurisdictions do not require a permit for a like-for-like shingle replacement. Ask the contractor to state in writing which authority applies to your address and who files.
What is a roof maintenance programme and is it worth it?
DACA lists maintenance programmes for both commercial and residential clients. On commercial single-ply and metal roofs these are usually scheduled inspections, drain and seam checks and minor sealant repairs, and many manufacturer warranties require documented maintenance to stay valid. On a residential shingle roof the value is lower. Ask what the visit specifically includes and whether the manufacturer warranty on your system requires it.
What should I ask before signing with any Central Texas roofer?
Ask for a certificate of insurance issued directly by the insurer, the exact system and product line being installed, whether the contractor's manufacturer credential is current and can register an extended warranty on that system, the workmanship warranty term as separate from the manufacturer warranty, who files the permit, how decking replacement is priced, and a firm written total rather than an insurance proceeds placeholder.
