About
Bluebonnet Roof Co. is the public brand behind this listing, and the website bluebonnetroofing.com is confirmed as the same company: the BBB profile for Bluebonnet Roof Co. (filed under the legal name Bluebonnet Custom Roofing LLC) lists that domain, the phone number 512-580-9063 and the address 8305 State Highway 71, Suite 230, Austin, all of which match the site. BBB records give a business start and incorporation date of April 2017. Founder Scott Mincey worked as an insurance adjuster before starting the company, which is the background it leans on when clients are working through a storm claim. The company is family owned and fully insured, and works on both residential and commercial property. Services run from roof repair, replacement and new installation through roof restoration, standing seam metal, tile and slate, flat roof coatings, and TPO, PVC and EPDM membrane systems, plus gutters, skylight repair and replacement, soffit and fascia work, roof inspections and emergency roofing. It states that it works with materials from Owens Corning, GAF and CertainTeed. Coverage is Austin and the surrounding Central Texas communities including Bee Cave, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Lakeway, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Tarrytown and Westlake. It is BBB accredited with an A+ rating, accredited since June 2025. The review picture is the weakest part of this file and should be read carefully. The company says on its site that it has earned a 5 star rating on Google Maps, but it never states how many reviews sit behind that, and we could not read the Google listing directly. No independent source we checked gave a Google review count for this company. The 5.0 supplied to us is therefore unquantified and may rest on a small number of reviews, so it should not be presented as evidence of a deep track record. One further caution: several unrelated Austin businesses trade under similar Bluebonnet roofing names, so match the phone number and address before assuming any review profile belongs to this company.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.
Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Scott and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Fantastic communication throughout the whole process and his experience with insurance companies was invaluable. He and his team worked around an insane schedule - mostly due to our insane weather in Texas, but also because we had solar panels that had to come down. Scott also worked directly with the Solar company to help coordinate everything. They showed up: on time - every time and finished the entire job in about 6-7 hours. All his crew were really friendly and did a great cleanup afterwards. I would *highly* recommend if you are in the market for a new roof in Austin - go with Bluebonnet Roof Co..
I had four different companies come out to look at our roof for a quote, and Scott was by far the best, most honest, and straightforward. We ended up going with Bluebonnet for the repair on our home in Falconhead, and I’m glad we did. Scott goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done right and doesn’t cut corners. It’s rare to find someone you can fully trust with your home, but Scott is definitely that guy. Highly recommend this guy
We had a great experience with Bluebonnet. Scott was trustworthy, responsive, and delivered high-quality work. He and his team addressed our issue quickly and made the entire process seamless. Highly recommend. Pictures attached.
Scott and his team inspected a shingle issue we’ve had for a while, seen in the attached photo. They gave us a detailed explanation of what was happening with our roof and what to look out for in the future. Repairs were fast and clean. We would call Bluebonnet Roof Co. again.
I’ve had a great experience with Bluebonnet Roof Co. During a recent rain, I noticed a leak coming from my furnace vent on the roof down to the closet where the HVAC system is located. I was a little panicked and wanting to find someone who could come sooner than later. I searched companies online for someone close to me AND good reviews and found Bluebonnet Roof. I called around 3pm on a Friday (yikes!) and Scott showed up about 20 minutes later. He was not able to get on the roof right away for safety reasons due to the wet conditions and our old roof being worn down and very slick, but Scott came back the next morning with a drone and was able to take photos to identify the leak source. We were given a quick and reasonable quote and schedule the repair a couple of days later. There was no pressure for anything more. Scott is so nice and easy to talk to. Just good vibes! No pressure or pushy sales. We will be getting a quote from Scott for roof replacement as well. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Scott and Bluebonnet Roofing.
