About

Birdcreek Roofing was founded in 2013 by Nate Navarro and runs its main office from 2608 N. Main Street, Suite B-313 in Belton, Bell County. The company describes itself as serving roughly 2,000 Texas homeowners a year and cites more than 20,000 homeowners helped since it started, with offices spread across Central and North Texas from DFW and Waco down through Belton, Pflugerville and Austin toward San Antonio. Its credential stack is unusually deep for a Central Texas roofer. Birdcreek is a GAF Master Elite residential contractor and a GAF Authorized commercial contractor, and GAF names it as a 2026 President's Club 3-Star award winner. It is also a TAMKO Pro Certified contractor, a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating held since June 2014, and a committee member of the Roofing and Solar Reform Alliance. Master Elite status is what allows a contractor to offer GAF's strongest system warranties, including the Golden Pledge. The published service list covers shingle roofing, metal roofing, storm damage restoration, commercial roofing, home renovation and a 13 point hail and wind damage roof inspection, with insurance claim assistance built into the process. Bell County sits squarely in Central Texas hail country, so most of that work follows spring storms. Phones are answered around the clock and office hours run seven days a week, 8am to 6pm.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Registered — Plano Check the register ↗ Registered general contractor, City of Plano. Roofing companies register in Plano's general contractor category, which also covers concrete, demolition, fence, foundation, pool and sign work; it is a $100 annual registration renewed yearly, and the city's published requirements do not list proof of insurance or a bond. This company appears on the city's own list of registered contractors. The city publishes no certificate number or expiry date for this programme, so ask to see the registration itself before work starts.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We had some damage to our roof because of a storm and some loose flashings. If you have some issues with your roofs or if you need someone to check and assess you, reach out them. They did an amazing job with our roofs and I highly recommend their services. You can see before and after photos below. Highly professional and trusted.

Birdcreek is our roofer for here on out! We had Eric repair our roof three times now and he's amazing to work with. We got a referral to him from our realtor who only refers people she has worked with for 5 years+. Our fascia was rotted when we moved in, and he noted it in the roof inspection he did, and he replaced that soon after we moved in so we could start off on the right foot. The flashing was done wrong by the previous homeowner's roofing company around our chimney and Eric fixed it all up including replacing our chimney topper that was so old that it was sloping inwards and water was getting into the chimney. Our roof is poorly designed on top of not being designed for snow and ice. An ice dam leak happened and because the ice itself didn't cause the damage (like hail would), the roof repair wasn't going to be covered by insurance, and it didn't meet our deductible anyway. We got a quote from another roofer that was higher than Birdcreek's and we had no faith from the other roofer that he cared about helping us prevent another one in the next winter storm. Eric explained it so well and I'm very pleased with how smoothly the repair went!

This was our first time getting a new roof. We chose Birdcreek Roofing. We are so glad we did. Chase came out and stayed working closely with us through the entire process. Chase also met our adjuster when he came to asses our roof damage. The crew were so professional when they replaced the roof. They were respectful of our property and were diligent about their clean up especially errant nails. Chase made the whole process much less stressful. The roof and new gutters look amazing. We are very pleased with their work. We highly recommend Birdcreek Roofing.

Brad and his team have been friendly, helpful and professional every step of the way. I highly recommend working with them. We suffered some damage from a nasty hale and wind storm in May '25 and had been having difficulties getting our insurance to pay our claim. Then we talked to Brad and everything changed. He and his team helped guide me through the insurance process and make sure we got everything we needed. We've used the opportunity to further invest in some additions and upgrades, including a standing seam steel roof, four skylights, and some landscape architecture to manage some of the drainage and run-off issues we've been dealing with and his network and recommendations for specialists were perfect. Birdcreek is not the cheapest option but they'll work within your budget to find the best solutions. With work like this I believe you get what you pay for and the level of quality and attention to detail has been completely worth the investment. Brad also brings a level of taste and expertise that I've trusted and greatly appreciated, he's communicative and responsive and always taken the time to answer any questions and discuss the options to make the right decisions. I'm very glad I chose them and Brad will be my first call for any other projects in the future.

We chose Birdcreek for our new metal standing seam roof back in Spring 2024. They were hands-down the best choice we could have made for our roofing contractor. We worked with Bary Gould & his crew who were kind, communicative and knowledgeable. We had a very positive experience, and despite being a very challenging/awkward roof, their team knew how to handle it. We had one issue which they fixed immediately and without question (and may have not even been a roofing issue). These guys go above & beyond. They try really hard, they know their stuff and it shows. I can't say enough good things about Bary & his crew. Money well spent.

Frequently asked

Does Texas issue a state roofing licence?
No. Texas has no statewide roofing contractor license, so no Bell County roofer is state licensed for roofing. The real checks are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), and any local registration your city requires.
What does RCAT Member mean on this listing?
It means the company pays dues and belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. RCAT separately awards a Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) that is earned through experience and testing. Birdcreek is listed here as an RCAT Member, which is association membership, not the licensed credential.
What does GAF Master Elite actually get me?
GAF restricts Master Elite status to a small share of the roofers it certifies, and only Master Elite contractors can offer GAF's strongest system warranties such as the Golden Pledge. It is a manufacturer program, not a government license, and the warranty only applies if the whole system (shingles, underlayment, starter, ridge and ventilation) is installed to GAF's spec, so ask for the warranty registration in writing at completion.
Is Birdcreek Roofing insured?
Ask for the certificates. You want a current general liability certificate and a current workers compensation certificate, both naming the contracting entity, sent from the insurance agent where possible. Insurance is verified separately from this listing rather than assumed from any credential.
How bad is hail in Bell County?
Central Texas along the I-35 corridor takes regular spring hail, and Belton, Temple, Salado and Killeen all sit in the path of storms that track off the Hill Country. Hail bruises the asphalt mat, wind creases tabs along ridges and rakes, and heat does slow damage the rest of the year.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth the upgrade?
Usually worth pricing in hail country. Class 4 shingles pass a steel ball impact test and hold up better to moderate hail, and most Texas insurers give a premium discount for them. Confirm the discount with your own insurer first, then ask for the price difference between the standard and Class 4 version of the same shingle line.
What happens during a hail damage inspection?
Birdcreek advertises a 13 point hail and wind damage inspection and offers free roof inspections. A useful inspection documents the test squares, photographs the hits on shingles, vents, flashing and soft metals, and produces a written report you can keep. Ask for that report as a file you own, whether or not you file a claim.
Which cities does Birdcreek serve?
Its website lists twenty service areas including Belton, Temple, Salado, Waco, Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Jarrell, San Marcos, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Burnet, Marble Falls, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen and Amarillo. The main office remains in Belton.
Do I need a permit to re roof in Belton or Temple?
Permitting in Texas is handled city by city and county by county, since there is no uniformly enforced statewide residential code. Check with the City of Belton or the City of Temple depending on your address, and get it in writing that the roofer pulls the permit and schedules any inspection.
What should I nail down before signing?
Get the scope written out: tear off versus overlay, the per sheet price for replacing rotten decking, underlayment, ventilation, drip edge and every piece of flashing. Then get the total price, the payment schedule, the workmanship warranty term, the manufacturer warranty being registered, and the insurance certificates. Do not pay the balance before the work is finished and looked over.
