About

R & R Roofing is a family owned roofing contractor based at 7349 W US Highway 190 in Belton, in Bell County. The company's About page says it started in Belton in 2006 with a mission to deliver honest, high quality roofing to neighbours and friends, and the BBB file records the business start as 5 November 2006. It has been a BBB Accredited Business with an A plus rating since 17 November 2008. The company works on both residential and commercial buildings and says it keeps the work in house rather than subcontracting it out, covering roof replacement, repair, leak tracing, gutters, emergency response and insurance claim assistance. Materials named on its own site include CertainTeed asphalt shingles, metal roof systems from Flack Metals and Sheffield Metals, corrugated metal panels, and TPO membrane for flat and low slope commercial roofs. Its commercial pages cover strip malls and small business buildings, industrial roofs, apartments and townhomes, and places of worship. Service area pages on the site cover Belton, Temple, Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Nolanville, Salado, Troy, Moody, Gatesville and Little River-Academy, with the About page adding parts of Bell County and Coryell County. Central Texas sits in the state's hail corridor, so storm damage assessment and hail related insurance work are a regular part of the job in this market. Texas has no state roofing licence, so the practical checks here are insurance, the company's long standing Belton address, its BBB accreditation and its RCAT membership.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Let's just say...I didn't know choosing a roofer could feel more stressful than buying the house itself. After getting several bids on a roof replacement, I felt the most comfortable going with Clay Beaird at R&R Roofing - and I HIGHLY recommend him. Not only is he a local, honest professional, but he made what felt like a huge, stressful investment incredibly easy. From start to finish, Clay treated me like family. He is down-to-earth, a great communicator, and followed through on everything he promised. He kept me updated throughout the entire process by sending photos during the installation, which gave me real peace of mind. He delivered on efficiency and quality, and the results speak for themselves. I now have a beautiful new roof and gutters, and even more importantly, complete confidence in the work that was done. If you're looking for roof repair or replacement, Clay is your guy. I couldn't be happier - thank you, Clay and R&R Roofing!

I had a great experience with Clay at R&R Roofing. From the initial request to the completed repair, the communication was excellent and the customer service was outstanding. Clay was honest, professional, and transparent throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how fair and straightforward they were when assessing the issue. Rather than recommending unnecessary work, they took the time to evaluate the problem and provide an honest solution. The repair was completed within less than 24 hours of my request, which was incredibly impressive. If you’re looking for a roofing company that values integrity, responsiveness, and quality service, I highly recommend Clay and the team at R&R Roofing.

I had a great experience with R&R Roofing. Amin was extremely attentive, professional, and polite throughout the entire process. He kept me informed every step of the way and was always available to answer questions. The company also worked directly with my insurance company and helped ensure that I received the maximum coverage available for my roof replacement. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the excellent customer service. I would highly recommend R&R Roofing to anyone in need of roofing services.

Wanted a metal roof for a long time. Jordan had great customer service and communicated well with my insurance about the damage on my old roof. A different team from R and R did my in-laws roof couple years back and it seems like they did a great job over there as well.

Our Roof was in great need of replacement. Safety was a top priority so we could reamin open for business with staff and clients coming and going from the buidling during business hours. They kept the site clean and organized during the process, which was much appreciated given the scale of the project. The project involved complex logistics, including navigating around equipment, structural features, and tight timelines. Despite these challenges, the crew worked efficiently and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. The quality of workmanship is outstanding—the new roof not only meets all specifications but also looks fantastic. We especially like the copper cap and downspouts that match our brick exterior. We highly recommend R & R Roofing for any commercial roofing project, especially those requiring experience with large-scale, complicated installations. Their reliability and attention to detail set them apart. Thank you R & R !

Frequently asked

Is R & R Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofer in Texas holds one. The meaningful checks are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, a verifiable local address, and voluntary industry standing. R & R Roofing operates from a fixed Belton address at 7349 W US Highway 190, is BBB Accredited with an A plus rating, and is recorded as a Roofing Contractors Association of Texas member.
What does RCAT Member mean, and is it the same as being an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are two different things and should not be treated as equivalent. RCAT membership means a company pays dues and signs up to the association's code of ethics. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (RRL, CRRL or CRL) is earned separately through experience and examination. R & R Roofing is listed as a Member, which does not by itself mean it holds the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential.
How much of a problem is hail around Belton, Temple and Killeen?
Bell County sits inside the Central Texas hail corridor and damaging hail is common in spring. Hail bruises asphalt shingles, fractures the mat and strips granules, which shortens the roof's remaining life even when nothing leaks straight away. That hidden damage is why a post storm inspection is worth doing before a claim deadline passes.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Central Texas?
Class 4 is the top impact rating in the UL 2218 steel ball test and those shingles hold up better against the hail sizes this region sees. Many Texas insurers offer a premium credit for a documented Class 4 roof. Ask your carrier what proof it wants and get that in writing before the tear off starts, because retroactive discounts are harder to obtain.
Do I need a permit to reroof a house in Belton or Temple?
Texas has no single statewide building code administration, so permitting and inspection are handled city by city. Belton, Temple, Killeen and Harker Heights each run their own process and their own fees. Ask the contractor in writing who pulls the permit, who schedules the inspection, and whether the permit cost is inside the quoted price.
What roofing materials does R & R Roofing install?
Its own About page names CertainTeed asphalt shingles, energy efficient metal roof systems from Flack Metals and Sheffield Metals, corrugated metal, and TPO membrane. The site also has dedicated pages for shingle roofing, metal roofing, commercial metal roofing, commercial shingle roofing and TPO roofing.
Does the company do commercial roofs as well as houses?
Yes. Alongside residential roofing it publishes commercial pages covering commercial metal roofing, commercial shingle roofing, TPO and industrial roofing, plus building type pages for strip malls and small business buildings, apartments and townhomes, and places of worship.
Can a roofer handle my hail insurance claim for me?
R & R Roofing publishes an insurance claim help page and says claims are handled in house. In practice a roofer can document the damage, provide a written scope and meet the adjuster on site, but only the policyholder can file the claim and only the insurer decides the settlement. Under Texas law a contractor must not offer to absorb or rebate your deductible.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent to you directly by the insurance agent rather than a photocopy, a written scope that names the exact shingle or metal panel and the underlayment, the manufacturer warranty and the separate workmanship warranty in writing, confirmation of who pulls the permit, and a payment schedule tied to milestones. Treat a large cash deposit before materials arrive on site as a warning sign.
After a Central Texas hailstorm, do I need a repair or a full replacement?
It depends on how widely the hail hit and how old the roof already is. Scattered impacts on one slope of a newer roof often justify a repair, while widespread bruising, heavy granule loss into the gutters, or a roof already near the end of its service life usually points to replacement. Get the damage documented slope by slope in writing, with photographs, before you decide, because that record is also what supports an insurance claim.
