About

The Crescent Builders is the trading name of Alucci Construction LLC, a Houston construction firm registered with RCAT as The Crescent Builders. Its listed office is Suite 230A at 1737 Stebbins Dr in the Spring Branch area of Houston, a small owner-managed commercial flex building with built-out offices and rear overhead doors rather than a mailbox or executive suite. The published number is (832) 732-1212, and the company keeps two websites, crescentbuilders.co (the domain RCAT lists) and thecrescentbuilders.net, both carrying the same phone and the same Alucci Construction LLC DBA line. The company name gives no hint of roofing, so it is worth stating plainly: roofing is a real service line here, not a sideline claim. The Crescent Builders appears in Owens Corning's own roofing contractor directory, its Instagram account is categorized as a construction and roofing contractor and posts roofing repair and installation work, and both websites lead with residential and commercial roofing, repair and maintenance. That said, roofing sits alongside general construction, framing, siding, foundation work, patio and outdoor living builds, whole-house renovation and solar panel installation. Homeowners should expect a broad construction contractor that roofs, not a roofing specialist. One caution for buyers. The marketing sites carry visible template content, including a leadership section naming co-founders that read as placeholder text and round experience figures with no supporting detail. Treat any stated years-in-business or project-count number as unverified, and ask for recent Houston roofing references and proof of insurance before signing.

Highlights

Roofing verified as a genuine service line despite the general-construction brand name, via Owens Corning's own contractor directory and the company's own roofing pages
Single-source contractor for roof, framing, siding, foundation and renovation work on the same property
Operates from a real commercial flex office in Spring Branch (1737 Stebbins Dr, Suite 230A), not a virtual or coworking address
Also installs solar, so roof replacement and solar can be sequenced by one contractor
RCAT Member, so the company is on the state association's register and reachable through it

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Crescent Builders did a great job replacing my roof and handling my siding. The overall quality of the work was solid, and everything was completed professionally.I worked mainly with Fauz (Fauzan), who was excellent throughout the process. He stayed on top of everything, communicated clearly, and genuinely took good care of us from start to finish. You could tell he really cared about making sure the job was done right. Raj was also good to work with and helpful along the way, but Fauz was definitely the standout and the main reason the experience went so smoothly. I’d recommend Crescent Builders if you’re looking for reliable work and a team that follows through.

I was nervous about getting my roof redone, but Crescent Builders made it easy. They explained everything clearly, gave a fair quote, and stuck to it. The team worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. My house looks brand new from the top!

So Far So Great - Can't wait to see the finished product! I rarely purchase at the time of the initial appointment but between excellent reviews and the thoroughness and expertise of Fauzan I felt comfortable making a commitment. Appreciated the attention to detail and complete information. Will review again after the work is completed.

I had a great experience working with Crescent Builders on my recent roof replacement and siding work. The quality of the workmanship was solid, and everything was completed professionally and on schedule. A special shoutout to Moosa, who was outstanding throughout the entire process. He stayed on top of every detail, communicated clearly, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. It was clear he genuinely cared about delivering a job well done, which made a big difference. Anfal was also helpful and good to work with along the way, but Moosa really stood out and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely recommend Crescent Builders if you’re looking for reliable service and a team that follows through on their promises.

I contacted via Angi website. From the beginning they were very cordial and informative. Our roof was more than 15 years old. Whatever questions I had, they answered promptly. One person was assigned to me- his name was Hafiz. He sent me estimate then explained to me the insurance. This company will give warranty for 50 years. Hafiz explained how they will work. He contacted HOA and city to get the roof work permit. Then on the day they replaced the roof, I was at work. But Ali constantly updated me with pictures and even roof top video. Punctual and professional. No hidden fees. For payment- I preferred wire transfer but they do provide various modes of payment. I have uploaded a few pictures of their while at work. They also cleaned after the work. As you can see they had the area covered with plastic sheets. Thank you for the smooth work!!!

Frequently asked

Does The Crescent Builders actually do roofing, or is it only a general contractor?
Roofing is a real service line. The company is listed in Owens Corning's own roofing contractor directory, its social profile is categorized as a construction and roofing contractor, and both of its websites list residential and commercial roofing, repair and maintenance. It also does framing, siding, foundations, patios, renovations and solar, so it is a broad construction firm that roofs rather than a roofing-only company.
Texas does not license roofers, so what should I check instead?
Texas has no state roofing license at all, so anyone can call themselves a roofer. Ask for a current certificate of general liability insurance and workers compensation sent directly from the insurance agent, check the RCAT record, look for a manufacturer certification on the manufacturer's own website, and confirm the company will pull any City of Houston permit in its own name.
What does the RCAT Member status on this listing mean?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. Member means the company pays dues and is on the association register. It is not the same as RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which is tested and carries a license number. This company is listed as a Member.
Is The Crescent Builders the same as the closed Crescent Builders on Milwee Street?
No. There is a separate, closed general contractor listing under a similar name at a different Houston address. This company operates as Alucci Construction LLC DBA The Crescent Builders from 1737 Stebbins Dr, Suite 230A, on (832) 732-1212. Match on that address, that phone and the crescentbuilders.co domain before hiring.
What does Owens Corning Preferred Contractor status actually get me?
Owens Corning runs a tiered contractor network and Preferred is the entry tier. It means the contractor has met the manufacturer's credentialing requirements and can offer certain Owens Corning system warranties on qualifying installations. Ask in writing which warranty tier your specific roof qualifies for, because the warranty depends on which components are installed, not on the badge alone.
Does Houston get hail, or is that only a North Texas problem?
Houston is outside the worst of the Hail Alley corridor that runs through the Dallas Fort Worth and Central Texas region, but Harris County still takes damaging hail events. Impact-resistant Class 4 shingles are available here and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them, so it is worth asking for a Class 4 option on any replacement quote.
Do I need a permit for a roof replacement in Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is set city by city. The City of Houston requires a permit for roof replacement work. Make sure the contract states that the contractor pulls the permit under its own details and schedules the inspection, and never accept an offer to skip the permit.
Is Houston in the WPI-8 windstorm certification area?
No. WPI-8 certificates from the Texas Department of Insurance apply to the 14 first-tier Gulf Coast counties covered by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association, plus parts of Harris County east of Highway 146. Most of Harris County, including Spring Branch, sits outside that scheme, so a standard permit and inspection apply.
How should I read the experience and project numbers on the company's websites?
Cautiously. The marketing pages carry template content, including a leadership block that reads as placeholder text and round figures for years in business and clients served with no supporting evidence. None of those numbers are independently verifiable, so ask for named recent local jobs you can look at instead.
What should I ask before signing with any Houston roofer after a storm?
Ask for the certificate of insurance from the agent, a written scope listing underlayment, ventilation, flashing and decking replacement rates, who pulls the permit, the manufacturer warranty tier and the separate workmanship warranty in years, and whether the crew is employed or subcontracted. Never sign a contingency agreement that hands the contractor control of your insurance claim before you have a scope and a price.
