About

NCS Roofing & Restoration LLC is a locally owned roofing and restoration contractor based in Celina, Texas. Its own website gives the office as 411 W. Pecan Street in downtown Celina, and the RCAT directory record lists 471 Stefanie Drive in Celina. Both addresses return Collin County from the US Census geocoder, so Collin is the county of record for this business even though the city of Celina itself straddles the Collin and Denton county line. The company says it has served customers since 2006 and that its team carries more than 15 years of combined experience across roofing, solar, and construction. It works throughout Collin and Denton counties and presents itself as a general contractor as well as a roofer. Published services include roof repair and replacement, storm restoration, commercial roof inspection using drones, roof maintenance programs, gutters, siding, windows and screens, solar installation and maintenance, painting, carpentry, and remodeling. NCS is a BBB Accredited Business with an A plus rating, accredited since February 2021, and it was named Best Roofing Company in the 2023 Best of Prosper and Celina Readers Choice awards. The company describes itself as fully bonded and insured. Note that BBB lists a business start date of 2004 and an incorporation date of 2017, neither of which matches the 2006 founding year the company states on its own site.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We recently discovered a leak in our ceiling during some major rainstorms that swept through the area which caused damage to our ceiling and walls. On top of that I was not able to locate where the leak was coming from and there were more storms in the forecast so time was not on our side. We immediately reached out to NCS Roofing & Restoration and Brian (owner) was out the next day to inspect the roof and interior damage. He immediately identified the issue and had a team out the very next day to address the issue and repair the ceiling and walls that were damaged. His team arrived early in the morning and got to work right away. The interior repairs looked fantastic and they were able to address the source of the leak on the roof. They also identified other areas of concern that they address to prevent future issues. I couldn’t recommend NCS Roofing highly enough. Fantastic service and professional work!

Brian came out personally to advise and explain in detail the best way to keep my roof performing as intended. I had some roof caps blown of do to very strong storm winds. My home is a brand new build with a 4 yr old roof and I wasn’t happy that I had issues. Brian sent out one of his roofers who not only fixed roof caps missing but also repaired others areas that original roofers had not installed correctly.Caulked areas that had potential leaks and did overall roof maintenance and inspection. I am new to Celina but have found a very reliable and trusted new business I can trust with any of my roofing needs. Randy Mustang Lakes Community

I can’t say enough about my experience with NCS Roofing. After some storm damage to my roof, I had several quotes for repairs. Brian knocked on my door and quoted the repairs for half of what others were charging. The best part is it was fixed the same day! I would definitely recommend NCS for all roofing needs!!!!

We used NCS Roofing for our roof replacement over a year ago. Recently after a storm we realized a section of fascia came off. I contacted NCS to see if they had a contractor they recommended and they came out right away and took care of this with no extra charge! I could not be more thankful for this kind service that went above and beyond. Brian Dyer has become a friend to us throughout our transactions and we have and will continue to refer NCS to anyone who asks!

Frequently asked

Which county is this company actually in, since Celina spans two?
Celina straddles the Collin and Denton county line, but both addresses associated with NCS Roofing & Restoration, the 411 W. Pecan Street office and the 471 Stefanie Drive address on its RCAT record, geocode to Collin County. Collin is therefore the correct county for this business. The company still serves customers on both sides of the line.
Does Texas license roofing contractors at the state level?
No. There is no Texas state roofing license, so a contractor cannot be state-licensed here no matter what the yard sign says. What you can verify is general liability and workers compensation insurance, a real physical address, city or county registration where it is required, and voluntary credentials such as RCAT status or manufacturer certification.
What does RCAT Member mean on this listing?
It means the company is a dues paying member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. That is a real and useful signal of professional engagement, but it is not the same as RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL, or CRL), which requires testing and continuing education. This listing shows Member, not Licensed.
Is hail the main reason roofs get replaced around Celina?
Yes. Celina sits in the North Texas hail corridor, and hail is the single biggest driver of roof replacement in Collin and Denton counties. Wind driven rain and extreme summer deck heat do their share of damage too, but a hail event is usually what turns a serviceable roof into a claim.
Should I upgrade to Class 4 impact resistant shingles?
In Collin County it is worth pricing. Class 4 shingles pass the UL 2218 steel ball impact test and hold up far better against hail bruising. Many Texas carriers give a premium discount for a documented Class 4 roof, so call your insurer first, ask what the discount is, and make sure the contractor gives you the manufacturer product sheet for the certificate.
Do I need a permit to reroof in Celina?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting and inspection rules are set locally. The City of Celina requires permits for roofing work, and the contractor should pull it under their own registration. If a company asks you to pull the permit as the homeowner, that usually means they are not registered or insured the way they should be.
Can a contractor cover my insurance deductible?
No. Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 makes it illegal for a roofing contractor to pay, waive, rebate, or absorb your deductible, or to advertise that they will. Offers to make the deductible disappear, or to inflate the invoice so the carrier covers it, are insurance fraud and put the homeowner at risk along with the contractor.
What is a roof maintenance program and is it worth it?
It is a scheduled inspection and minor repair plan, usually annual or twice yearly, aimed at catching flashing failures, sealant cracking, and storm damage before water gets in. It makes the most sense on commercial or low slope roofs, where small membrane defects turn into expensive interior damage. Ask exactly what the visit includes and what counts as a chargeable extra.
What should I check before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Confirm the certificate of insurance comes straight from the insurer, get the shingle brand, line, and color named in writing, set a per sheet price for decking replacement, define who pulls the permit, and read the cancellation clause. Texas gives you a right to cancel a claim tied roofing contract within a set window after the carrier denies the claim in whole or in part.
Should roofing and solar be done by the same company?
If the roof is near the end of its life, replacing it before or at the same time as a solar install saves you paying twice to remove and reset the panels. Using one contractor for both can also avoid the finger pointing that happens when a leak appears near a mounting penetration. Ask in writing who warrants penetrations through the roof deck.
