About

Hul-Ster Roofing LLC is a Fort Worth residential and commercial roofing contractor operating from 8855 West Freeway, Unit 204, in Tarrant County. It is the roofing arm of a longer running family business: the company's About page traces the Hul-Ster name to Hul-Ster Construction, founded in 2001 by Yancy Hulsey and Mark Feemster, with the roofing company launched in February 2024 by Brady Hulsey and Bryan Seamster. The name is a blend of the two founding surnames. The work splits three ways. Residential covers roof repairs, replacements and new installation in asphalt shingle and metal. Commercial covers new construction, restoration and maintenance, including flat roofs, with the company describing itself as a DFW residential and commercial contractor specialising in new construction and reroofing. A third line offers solar consultation and installation. Free quotes are offered and financing is available. Credential-wise, Hul-Ster Roofing LLC appears on IKO's own contractor finder as an IKO ROOFPRO contractor and is listed in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas directory. It is not a BBB Accredited Business and BBB has not issued a rating, stating the file is too new for a sufficient track record. Texas has no state roofing licence, so insurance certificates and voluntary credentials such as these are what a homeowner can actually verify.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Hulster Roofing and their team. From the very beginning, they were professional, respectful, and truly cared about helping my family. We had been denied by our insurance multiple times for our roof, and at that point, I had honestly lost hope. But these guys did not give up. They stayed consistent, kept advocating for us, and guided us through the entire process with patience and honesty. When they finally came out to do the work, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They fixed our roof—which was in really bad shape—and the quality of their work was excellent. What meant the most to me is that they were honest the entire time and never made promises they couldn’t keep. Because of their dedication, we were able to get our roof fixed while paying very little out of pocket, which was a huge blessing for my family. If you’re looking for a company that truly stands by you, fights for you, and delivers great results, I 100% recommend Hulster Roofing. These guys are the real deal. Thank you again for everything you did for us—we truly appreciate it!

I had a small leak in my house’s roof. They were able to quickly find the issue and fix the issue based on my description of where the leak was coming from. They didn’t charge me anything since it turned out to be a super small job. The crew was completely honest with me and just fixed the small issue rather than make it sound like a bigger problem and charge me a huge amount. I’ll be saving their contact info for the future!

Awesome service! Ranee Kent was my initial contact person with Hulster roofing. Her customer service skills are impeccable. She was able to answer all my questions regarding my roof replacement. The roofers that came to my home were very meticulous. My roof looks amazing. Ranee reached out to us several times throughout the process to check on us and the progress. Hulster roofing is top notch!!

Great experience with Hul-Ster Roofing. The crew did an excellent job and made the whole process easy from start to finish. They worked directly with Mercury Insurance, which took a lot of stress off us as homeowners. To replacing the entire roof in just a few hours. Bryan Seamster was awesome to work with being very knowledgeable, responsive, and kept us in the loop the entire time. The work was done professionally and the roof looks great. Highly recommend Hul-Ster Roofing to anyone needing a reliable roofing company.

Frequently asked

Is Hul-Ster Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
No Texas roofer is. Texas does not issue a state roofing contractor licence, so there is no state register to check. Instead ask for a current certificate of general liability and workers compensation insurance sent directly by the insurer, and look at voluntary credentials such as the RCAT directory listing and manufacturer certification.
What does its RCAT status mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas lists Hul-Ster Roofing LLC in its contractor directory as a member in the residential and commercial category. Membership means the company pays dues and signs the association's code. It is not a government licence and it is not the same as RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (the CRRL, RRL and CRL designations).
Is the company BBB accredited?
No. BBB opened a file on Hul-Ster Roofing on 12 February 2026 and states the business is not a BBB Accredited Business and has no rating because it has too short a track record on file. That is a reflection of file age rather than a complaint history, but it does mean there is no BBB grade to lean on yet.
How new is the company?
The roofing company itself is recent. Its About page says Hul-Ster Roofing was launched in February 2024 by Brady Hulsey and Bryan Seamster, as an extension of Hul-Ster Construction which the page dates to 2001. With a young roofing entity it is worth asking for recent local references and checking that the workmanship warranty is written down and backed.
Which phone number is current?
The company's own website lists (817) 507-9374 and the email info@hul-ster.com. Its BBB and RCAT directory records list (817) 542-5611 at 8855 West Freeway, Unit 204, Fort Worth. Both appear to be live business lines for the same company, but the website number is the one it publishes to customers.
Which areas does it serve?
Its site names Fort Worth, Weatherford, Azle, Springtown, Aledo, Benbrook, Cleburne, Burleson, Roanoke, Grapevine, Trophy Club, Justin, Northlake, Saginaw, White Settlement, Lake Worth and Eagle Mountain Lake, which covers most of Tarrant County plus the Parker and Johnson County edges.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Tarrant County?
Fort Worth sits in the heart of the North Texas hail corridor, so Class 4 (UL 2218) impact-resistant shingles are one of the more defensible upgrades here. Most major Texas carriers offer a premium credit for them, but the amount differs by insurer and it is not automatic. Get the discount confirmed by your carrier in writing before you pay for the upgrade.
Who pulls the permit for a roof replacement?
Texas has no statewide roofing permit. Permitting and inspection are set city by city and county by county, so Fort Worth, Benbrook, Saginaw, Weatherford and unincorporated Tarrant County can each differ. Check with the relevant building department and put in the contract which party pulls the permit and pays the fee.
Does it work on hail insurance claims?
The company's published material does not describe a dedicated insurance restoration department, so if you are filing a hail claim ask directly how it handles adjuster meetings, supplements and a partially approved scope. Note that Texas law bars a contractor from paying or rebating your insurance deductible, so any offer to absorb it should end the conversation.
What should a homeowner ask before signing?
Ask for insurer-issued proof of general liability and workers compensation cover, a written scope naming the shingle line, underlayment, flashing, drip edge and ventilation, the manufacturer warranty being registered and the separate workmanship warranty term in writing, whether the crew is in house or subcontracted, and a payment schedule tied to milestones rather than a large upfront deposit.
