Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0367 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Stephen and the 4M Roofing team are absolutely amazing! They deliver the highest level of customer service and never fail to go above and beyond for all of my clients. Would recommend them for all of your roof and gutter needs!

From start to finish, we had an excellent experience with 4M Roofing. Antonio was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the process so we’d know what to expect. There was a full crew that got the roof done efficiently in one day and did a great job minimizing and cleaning up the mess that comes with replacing a roof. Gutters were done the second day and Antonio’s color recommendation for the gutters was spot on, my house looks great! I HIGHLY recommend 4M!

I reached out to the team to see if they could help close a gap in my kitchen cabinets. They responded immediately and were able to complete the work a couple days later. I'll definitely be reaching out again in the future.

First time Homeowner here and filing my first insurance claim was stressful until I was recommended to 4M Roofing. They explained the process thoroughly and made sure we were comfortable. Above all, they did an excellent job! The team was able to tear off our old roof then put the new roof on in one day! They didn't cut any corners, but did everything very efficiently and properly according to spec. I just loved their work and highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, trustworthy work.

Stephen kept in touch with us through the whole process. Even when we were considering someone else because we of price he guided us on how to deal with them to get the best price. We ended up going with 4M, even with a higher price point, because of how we were treated throughout the process. Repairs turned out great and we paid the exact price he quoted us without any hidden fees. Super easy process for us at a very fair price.

Frequently asked

Is 4M Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no statewide roofing license. 4M Roofing (RCAT member ID 286) instead holds RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor (RRL) credential under principal Manuel Oliva, which homeowners can verify on the RCAT directory.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed for 4M Roofing?
RCAT membership is a paid membership status, while the Licensed Roofing Contractor (RRL) designation is earned separately. The RCAT directory lists 4M Roofing's principal with the RRL credential, confirming the Licensed status.
Is 4M Roofing accredited by the Better Business Bureau?
Yes. BBB's own profile shows 4M Roofing Company LLC as BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, accredited since March 2014.
What areas does 4M Roofing serve beyond Lockhart?
The company's site lists coverage across a wide swath of Central Texas, including Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Bastrop and Dripping Springs, spanning roughly ten counties.
Does 4M Roofing help with storm damage insurance claims?
Yes, the company advertises insurance restoration assistance alongside roof repair and replacement for storm damaged homes.
Does 4M Roofing only work on roofs?
No. In addition to roofing, the company's site lists window repair and replacement, sheetrock repair, siding repair and fence repair, services often needed together after a Central Texas storm.
Is Caldwell County subject to the WPI-8/TWIA coastal windstorm program?
No. WPI-8 and TWIA apply to the 14 first tier Gulf Coast counties. Caldwell County is inland Central Texas, so those coastal windstorm requirements do not apply here.
Is there a statewide building code that applies to a roof replacement in Lockhart?
No. Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting for roofing work in Lockhart is handled by the City of Lockhart or Caldwell County rather than the state.
What roofing material does 4M Roofing typically install?
Its own site photography and content reference asphalt shingle roofing. Homeowners should confirm the specific shingle brand and impact class being proposed for their project.
What should a homeowner verify before hiring 4M Roofing?
Ask for current proof of insurance, a written scope of work, and confirmation of the RCAT Licensed status, since Texas does not issue its own state roofing license.
