Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0633 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

The 5 star reviews are well earned from start to finish. TrueWorks take a risk on high-quality details knowing it may increase their cost vs. competitors who chase price sensitive customers. Joel sticks to his principles and shows you that the details matter even more than the shingles. In our case the materials they used and the installer qualification they have with Malarkey (shingle manufacture) gave me significant peace of mind with a long Manufacturer backed warranty on both the materials and the installation. This was the clincher for me. It's a highly competitive business so understand why some would try to win on lower price, but I found TrueWorks somewhat higher cost was easily offset by the higher quality install and manufacturer-backed warranty (which their competitors admitted). Angel and the crew were incredibly professional and efficient. I could track every detail of their progress via the on-line photo timeline with over 400 pictures. We've ended up with a beautiful new roof as Laura promised several times. I highly recommend TrueWorks Roofing.

Highly Recommend TrueWorks Roofing! We recently had our roof replaced by TrueWorks and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Every person I interfaced with was a pleasure to deal with — professional, friendly, and truly customer-focused. Their communication was excellent. I always knew exactly what was happening and when, so I never felt in the dark. When I had some technical questions about my attic’s ventilation, one of the owners, Joel, personally reached out to answer them in detail and even took the time to educate me on the best options. That level of care really stood out. I also love supporting locally owned and operated businesses, and TrueWorks is a perfect example of why. They clearly take pride in their work and in how they treat their customers. I was especially thankful for how carefully they protected my house and yard during the replacement. The cleanup during and after the job was impeccable — my yard was left in great shape with no nails, debris, or bits of old roofing material anywhere. TrueWorks exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t recommend them enough!

Highly recommend TrueWorks Roofing! Victor went above and beyond for us. He came by to inspect our roof while I was out and took great care in explaining everything to my mom. He was so kind, professional, and really took our specific situation into consideration. The entire company is wonderful to work with; they truly prioritize the customer and provide top-notch service and materials.

I recently had to replace my roof after storm damage, and I’m thrilled with the work done by TrueWorks Roofing. They removed my old roof and installed Malarkey Vista Class 4 shingles, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Although there were a couple of minor issues during the installation, the team caught and resolved them immediately, often before I even noticed. Their responsiveness to my questions was exceptional—whenever I reached out, they were there to help. Jessica Dingle, our salesperson, was absolutely amazing! Her positive energy and thoroughness made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. Owner Laura Cole and her husband Josh were also fantastic. They were readily available by phone and text, always explaining the process clearly and even assisting with our insurance claim. Their dedication truly reflected the family-owned business atmosphere, with a genuine commitment to perfection. I’d like to give a shoutout to Project Manager Evan for being so polite and attentive, and to Gabriel for his meticulous inspection work, ensuring everything was flawless. Given my positive experience, I will definitely be using TrueWorks Roofing for future roof replacements on my investment properties. Highly recommend this outstanding team! ***UPDATE*** "I recently had to replace my roof on my primary home after storm damage, and I was so impressed with TrueWorks Roofing that I decided to use them again for a roof replacement on my investment property. Once again, they exceeded my expectations! This time, the crew of 19 workers completed the entire roof replacement in just six hours, which was incredibly efficient. The quality of the work was excellent, and they handled every detail with professionalism. The team was organized, and it was clear they had a well-coordinated system in place to get the job done quickly without sacrificing quality. Just like the first time, they went above and beyond in assisting with my insurance company and even worked seamlessly with the HOA to ensure everything was in compliance. Their communication throughout the process was top-notch, and they made sure I was always informed and comfortable. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and dedication of Jessica Dingle, Laura Cole, and Josh. They all played a crucial role in making both roof replacements smooth and stress-free. Their commitment to excellence is evident in everything they do. Given my experiences with both properties, I’ll continue to trust TrueWorks Roofing for all of my future roof replacements. I highly recommend them—this team is truly outstanding!"

A family member with rental properties referred us to TrueWorks Roofing. We received quotes from three roofing companies. We chose TrueWorks Roofing hands-down. We're so happy with the high quality customer care and professional services we received from TrueWorks Roofing. The free inspection was very impressive, and it included an outstanding TrueWorks Roofing presentation. Our property is adjacent to a high traffic walking trail along a lake and park. Many people saw our roof being replaced and stopped to ask questions about TrueWorks Roofing. We enjoy telling our family, friends and neighbors everything we learned about the thorough inspection and products installed by TrueWorks Roofing. Our expectations were far exceeded. What a blessing!!!

Frequently asked

Is TrueWorks Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so no Texas roofer is state-licensed. What homeowners can verify instead is insurance coverage, voluntary industry credentials such as RCAT status, and manufacturer certifications. TrueWorks holds manufacturer credentials from Owens Corning, Malarkey and Brava and is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas has two separate levels. A Member pays dues and belongs to the association, while a Licensed Roofing Contractor has earned RCAT's voluntary licensing credential through testing plus insurance and experience requirements. Always ask which of the two a contractor actually holds, because they are not equivalent.
Does TrueWorks Roofing offer free roof inspections?
Yes. TrueWorks offers free roof assessments and uses drone and AI-assisted inspection technology to document roof conditions, which gives homeowners photo evidence of any damage before deciding on repair or replacement.
Does TrueWorks Roofing help with insurance claims after storm damage?
Storm damage restoration is one of the company's core services, and its site covers working through hail and wind damage insurance claims. As with any claim, the homeowner files with their insurer; the roofer's role is to document damage, provide a written scope and meet the adjuster on site so storm-related damage is not missed.
What roofing materials does TrueWorks install?
TrueWorks installs asphalt and composition shingles, standing seam and KasselWood metal, clay and concrete tile, slate, Brava synthetic composite, and TPO, flat and foam systems for commercial roofs.
Does TrueWorks Roofing handle commercial roofs?
Yes. The company offers commercial roof repair, installation and coatings, including TPO, flat and foam roofing systems, alongside its residential work.
What is a Fortified roof and does TrueWorks install them?
Fortified is a voluntary construction standard from the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety that strengthens a roof against high wind, with requirements like sealed roof decks and enhanced fastening. TrueWorks advertises that it is certified to install Fortified roofing systems, which can matter in the Houston area where wind and severe storms drive much of the roof damage.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in the Houston area?
Class 4 shingles carry the highest standard impact rating and hold up better to hail and wind-blown debris. Many Texas insurers offer premium discounts for impact-rated roofs, so compare the added material cost against the potential insurance savings. TrueWorks covers Class 4 options in its learning center and installs impact-rated products.
What areas does TrueWorks Roofing serve?
TrueWorks serves greater Houston, including West Houston, Memorial, River Oaks, The Heights and the Memorial Villages, plus Katy, Cinco Ranch, Cypress, Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands, Kingwood, League City, Pearland and Sugar Land.
Does TrueWorks Roofing offer financing?
Yes, the company has a financing program for roofing projects; details and applications are on the financing page of its website. Ask what terms are available for your project size, and confirm any promotional terms in writing before signing.
