About

FSR (FSR LLC, publicly branded FSR Roofing) is a Central Texas roofing contractor based at 10880 Hodge Canyon Drive in Salado, Bell County. Founder Adam Glazener started in commercial roofing in the mid 2000s at Parsons Commercial Roofing, spending over a decade as a site superintendent on large commercial membrane roof projects across Texas before launching FSR in 2018 with a group of colleagues. The company's BBB profile records the business as started in October 2018 and shows an A+ rating with accreditation since June 2020. FSR handles both residential and commercial work: asphalt shingle and standing seam metal roofs, TPO and membrane systems, roof coatings, storm and hail damage repair, insurance claim assistance, gutters, and siding. It is a GAF Master Elite contractor, verified on GAF's residential contractor directory, which allows it to offer GAF's strongest warranties including the Golden Pledge limited warranty, and it is a verified Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. The company also states Tamko and Mule-Hide certified installer status and IBHS FORTIFIED roofing certification, and advertises Best of Central Texas awards for 2023 through 2025. From its Salado home base FSR serves Bell County communities including Belton, Temple, Killeen, and Harker Heights, plus a wider Central Texas footprint from Georgetown, Round Rock, and Austin up to Waco, and it travels farther for larger commercial projects.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0663 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We recently had our roof replaced by FSR Roofing, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Their pricing was very competitive, and the quality of service exceeded our expectations. Communication throughout the project was outstanding. They were always available, quick to respond to emails and texts, and kept us informed every step of the way. It's rare to find a company that is this responsive and easy to work with. Our project manager, Chris Slone, was polite, professional, and thorough. He took the time to answer our questions, made sure everything was done correctly, and ensured the project stayed on track. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend FSR Roofers to anyone looking for a reliable roofing company.

HIGHLY recommend FSR for all of your roofing needs. Chris Slone stayed in constant communication with me and kept me in the loop on timelines. Josue Camps, the project coordinator, kept things running smoothly during my roof installation and after pointing out a few minor things, the crew quickly responded and made the fixes. They were all professional, respectful, and timely. The owner, Adam Glazener, showed up after the first day to check in and see how things were going which I really appreciate. After the installation was complete, my property was left spotless. Overall, great company, great service, and great people!

We had an excellent experience with FSR Roofing from start to finish. Professional, responsive, honest, and incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. Communication was clear, timelines were met, and the quality of work was outstanding. A special thank you to Mike Sholty, who made the experience even better. His professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail gave us complete confidence every step of the way. It’s hard to find companies that truly do what they say they’ll do, but FSR absolutely delivered. Highly recommend FSR Roofing if you’re looking for quality work and exceptional customer service!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of engaging with FSR for a comprehensive estimate concerning the installation of a new metal roof at our property in Killeen, Texas. We were particularly impressed with the exceptional service provided by Chris Slone, who visited our home to conduct the assessment. From our initial interaction, Chris demonstrated exemplary professionalism. He was remarkably punctual for our scheduled appointment, respecting our time, and immediately put us at ease with his courteous and approachable demeanor. He possessed an impressive depth of knowledge regarding metal roofing systems, patiently and thoroughly answering all our questions and clarifying any uncertainties we had. His ability to explain complex details in an understandable way was invaluable, ensuring we felt fully informed about our options and the proposed scope of work. While unforeseen circumstances prevented us from proceeding with the roofing project immediately, Chris's follow-up process truly set FSR apart. He maintained a respectful and consistent level of communication, checking in periodically without ever being intrusive or pressuring us. His understanding of our situation was truly commendable, and his patient, client-focused approach was a refreshing change from typical sales experiences. Based on our overwhelmingly positive experience, we wholeheartedly recommend FSR for any roofing needs. Chris Slone's outstanding professionalism, product expertise, and empathetic approach to client service exemplify the high standards maintained by the company. It is without hesitation that we endorse FSR for their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Frequently asked

Is FSR licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license, so no Texas roofer is state licensed. FSR holds the RCAT licensed roofing contractor status, a voluntary credential from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas that requires passing an exam and showing proof of insurance. Still ask for current insurance certificates before signing.
What does the RCAT licensed credential mean compared with plain RCAT membership?
RCAT membership just means a company has joined the trade association. The licensed roofing contractor credential is separately earned through RCAT's testing and insurance verification program. FSR carries the licensed status, which is the stronger of the two.
Who founded FSR and how long has it been in business?
Adam Glazener founded FSR in 2018 after more than a decade supervising large commercial membrane roof projects across Texas. The BBB profile records the business as started in October 2018, with A+ accreditation since June 2020.
Is FSR really a GAF Master Elite contractor?
Yes. FSR LLC appears on GAF's own residential contractor directory as a Master Elite contractor, a level GAF limits to a small share of roofers, and that status lets FSR offer GAF's Golden Pledge limited warranty on qualifying roof systems. It is also a verified Owens Corning Preferred Contractor.
Does FSR handle hail damage and insurance claims?
Yes. Storm and hail damage repair and insurance claim assistance are core services, and the company installs impact-resistant products such as Tamko HailGuard shingles. Central Texas sits in the state's hail-prone corridor, so hail claims are a routine part of its work.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Bell County?
Usually worth pricing out. Class 4 shingles hold up better to hail, and many Texas insurers give premium discounts for impact-rated roofs. Ask FSR for the Class 4 options in its lineup and ask your insurance agent what discount applies before you decide.
Does FSR do commercial roofs as well as houses?
Yes, commercial work is part of the company's DNA. It installs TPO and membrane systems, standing seam metal, and roof coatings, and it will travel across Texas for larger commercial projects and specialty installations.
What areas does FSR serve?
Home base is Salado, covering Bell County (Belton, Temple, Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove and nearby towns) and greater Central Texas including Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Austin, and Waco. Extended service for larger projects reaches Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and other Texas markets.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Temple, Killeen, or Belton?
Texas has no statewide building code, so each city sets its own permitting and inspection rules and unincorporated county areas differ again. Confirm with your city's building department, and get in writing who is responsible for pulling any required permit.
What should I confirm before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for certificates of liability and workers compensation insurance sent from the carrier, a written scope with exact materials, the manufacturer warranty and who registers it, and local references. With FSR, ask whether your project qualifies for the GAF Golden Pledge warranty and get the answer in the contract.
