Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0246 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish! The claims process was a breeze (thanks, AAA!). My project manager, Josh, was patient, friendly, and very thorough. He genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy—and I definitely am. Despite his years of experience, it was refreshing to see how passionate and excited he still is about his work. He even helped me find the perfect roof color. The crew was fantastic as well—professional, respectful, and hardworking. They cleaned up thoroughly and even took extra care to restore the sealants I had in place for critter control. Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process and outcome!

Josh from 3:16 came out and gave us an in depth consultation. We chose them to do the work based on that consultation. They did not disappoint at all. I would choose 3:16 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Josh was engaged every step of the way. 6 stars. Thank You 3:16

Awesome from start to finish! Shawn and Josh handled everything seamlessly. Was trying to get roof fairly quickly to change insurance companies. They had a cancelation and made it happen in 2 days. Quality work, excellent clean up. Customer service top notch! Highly recommend

Following a recent hailstorm, I sought a reputable, local roofing company with strong online reviews and an A+ BBB rating. I preferred not to engage companies soliciting door-to-door. The name 316 Roofing and Construction appealed to me, and after further research, I found the business is Christian-owned and employs several individuals of faith. Their professional website also made a positive impression. Throughout the project, all 316 Roofing and Construction staff demonstrated competence, professionalism, and courtesy. Kade, the sales manager, served as our initial contact. When our insurance provider initially refused to approve a roof replacement, opting instead for repairs despite the lack of available replacement shingles, Kade managed the claims process effectively. Our independent insurance agent expressed high regard for his expertise in handling the matter, ultimately securing approval for a replacement. Josh, our project manager, displayed diligence throughout the roofing project. We additionally contracted 316 Roofing to perform electrical work and a complex vent hood replacement. Josh’s comprehensive construction knowledge proved invaluable, and he was responsive and accommodating throughout. Jae provided friendly and helpful assistance as we reconciled the personal and insurance expenses. Based on this experience, I confidently recommend 316 Roofing and Construction for any roofing or general construction projects.

I had an excellent experience with 316 Roofing! They replaced my roof and upgraded me from a three-tab roof to rated shingles at no extra cost. They provided a detailed report, handled everything with insurance, and all I had to do was pay my deductible. The work was thorough and professional. Our project manager was amazing, knowledgeable, attentive, and it truly shows that she loves what she does. I couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend 316 Roofing!
